Despite the internet difficulties, IPL production quality is still awesome.
When they got their setup actually working, there were almost no downtimes between the sets and the stage and little things like short player cams are really neat.
Playoff brackets should be great this weekend.

nice job ign/ipl. the top 10 i saw looked ridiculously awesome, the split screen is something i've been waiting for people to take further advantage of. (let's see some split screens during live casts!)

I actually think the internet going down was a blessing in disguise.
IGN had to scramble and adopt a "Homestory Cup" type of product. I think it's good that they have experience with that type of production that they otherwise would not have gotten.
They will probably see the stream numbers for those secondary streams and see how nice the casual video content is and how important it is for future tournaments.
And of course they will now know to have satellite trucks...
