MMA on the other hand has taken beaten mvp in the gstl and boxer, ryung and a bunch of other korean terrans. So yeah, MMA tvt is better Didn't theSTC and MMA have to play each other in the pool? How did that end up? Honest question cuz I think I missed that game. TheSTC Won. It doesn't make him better at tvt than mma tho. DIMAGA once beat nestea aswell.

How can you go from looking like a god vs MVP to having a 1 - 6 record against polt prime? He just seems to have brain farts at certain times. His weakness is early game, which is polt strenght. Plus, polt had a entire tournament of MMA's TvT to study. The other series they played polt won because of the first reason.

idra said this yesterday on the panel discussion with Stephano huk and whitera- players don't get tired from playing series in tournaments- they only get tired because of jet lag and havign super long days- NOT because of playing 10 best of 3's in one day. So you cannot say that white-ra lost because of being tired -.- TheSTC deserved the win fully so fuk you haters! White-ra played amazingly today and so did MMA and The STC! Don't player bash and always realize the players try their hardest to win always!!

That is a legitimate argument to make. Granted he didn't make it very intelligently, it is a valid argument. How about I make you play 5 Bo3s and see how well you do? I would think that the problem isn't one player sitting and resting while the other guy plays another series (or two), it's letting a player sit and watch his opponent play the upcoming matchup.
Granted, White-Ra streams for the world to see all the damn time too, but it still seems very odd to me that they let players sit and watch their opponents play minutes before their matches are scheduled, potentially allowing them to find holes to poke in builds.

white ra is a baus, he saved IPL today with some great games and he showed whats up in the open brackets at the last mlg.
That my friends is a true professional.

He basically said, while tournament games are a bit more taxing on players, fans overplay the whole endurance factor. The pros do play tons of games in a row, so they are definitely used to the conditions. it's ironic that someone like idra talks about endurance when he himself forfeit games so he can sleep. endurance != jetlag

IPL really did a great job pulling this around from losing their internet to Lani entertaining us for hours, to Boxer v Huk BW matches to being so awesome about explaining how they were doubling up the games played and just the overall production values. Im impressed *claps for everyone responsible* and I had a great day!

In 9 min WCG Korea, in 2 hr GSTL final, then in 10 hours IPL day 3. Man when will I be able to sleep.

Second game was definitely an early push, but the first game was just meant to be a poke that white ra totally misplayed against, not his fault his opponent misplayed so badly. TheSTC said he wanted WhiteRa stop from making warp-prism play, so was going with early game pushes in his post-match interview.
Hence, his goal was to win early game in both games. He did, even if WhiteRa managed to drag both games a while.
|
I have a feeling that White Ra revealed too much of his style today. Korean Terrans will be prepared for his greedy opening as well as prism play. It didn't take theSTC more than one series (MMA v White Ra( to catch it.

Were the rest of the games played?
|
correct me if i am wrong.... white ra is going to get screwed into 3rd place in his group because he actually had to play idra and went 2-1 vs him whereas mma got a forfeit vs idra so thats a 2-0.... so basically despite actually beating idra and mma whitera will get 3rd place by a 1 game loss differential

GrpC only played 2 sets and then they decided to completely randomize the seed selection.
Idra flew in from China literally yesterday and then was forced to stay all up all day/night for his games, which then got delayed several hours because of internet issues. He then decided that forfeiting to 4th seed and getting rest was better than wasting his mentality and energy trying to win $1000 when $30,000 is on the line later on.

This could get ugly.
But we don't know whether Idra or Hero are LAST seed. They are 4th in pool play, but so are Boxer and Strelok.

I'm not even to begin with the terranOP speculations. 3/3 bio and medvacs vs 2/2 of RA, please know what you say before you post useless stuff. That's the same as 1/1 vs 0/0. Not a huge deal.
It was 3/3 vs 2/0/1, and 3/3 vs 2/2 is NOT the same as 1/1 vs 0/0, since stalkers don't scale well with upgrades, and marines' low damage means they scale especially well.

they did not play all games in pool c it seems. Did they say who will get the money? ^^

White-ra is a pro-gamer, you guys need to remember that when pro-gamers practice its for several hours straight. So 3 series in a row is nothing.

If you look at it from his perspective would you rather want to play through all the games and get a chance at $500 or $1000 or be in full form the next day and have a better chance at $30k?
This bashing is really getting annoying

So they're ending early today due to the problems? Or whats up?

Through all the technical difficulties and delays out of IPL's control I must say this has been one of the best days of a tournament I have watched. KEEP IT UP IPL. AMAZING COVERAGE.
