And do their job due to their bulk and ability to be easily massed. They're boring, but they're not at all bad at their job.

more queens could have handled the phoenix harass (along with spore crawlers). or a faster spire with some corrupters would have been better.

Play awesomely for the early - mid game making opponent's early rushes and attacks look like child's play. Die flat out in the late game because he refuses to tech to broodlords. Don't see how idra gonna make it out of this group if he continues to neglect T3 units. Yeah I agree with this. Game 1 he had it quite easily but did everything wrong (making 30 hydra's no corruptors assuming he wouldn't make colossi again), getting a very late hive (which imo should have been earlier). When I see mass phoenix like that I get corruptors I think its a better response then hydra's by far as corruptors do very well vs phoenix while hydra get shit on. Blah I mean not surprised I feel idra's going to lose like this until he goes back to korea. Also Who's playing next?

Only time you ever want to build Corruptors is to morph to BL, or to match Colossi supply for supply...otherwise you have completely dead weight taking up 20+ supply.

Look at the great champions of any sport and you'll see that their qualities are exactly the opposite of Idra's in terms of mindset.

Second, infestors are pretty terrible vs collo since patch, at least on that map since it´s so easily to in late/midgame wall off the entire mid with forcefields, effectively putting all festors either out of range or in range of your stalkers. And corruptors vs collo is pretty coinflip IMO and is mostly a last resort where you hope your opponent messes up his micro. All in all I think Idra needed to Baneling-drop after going heavy spores with roaches and better yet, hire a squad of highly trained chinese assasins to go pay blizzards mapmakers a visit! However, Idra did stay waaaaaay too long in the midgame that game and deserved that loss.

Around the time of MLG Anaheim he was hardly using infestors as much as the foreign Zergs and was playing a more korean style, which at the time was simply roach ling aggression. Koreans only made hydras to defend 2 base all ins, never to play a macro game. You can't beat pure blink stalker with roach hydra, let alone stalker colossus. To beat blink stalker, you still need lings or infestors, because all of Zerg's other units are terrible vs it.

He doesn't need to win games to make a living, he can just talk shit about other people while laddering and make money off of ads. Why people are so enamored by Idra's bm has confused me for years.
