We missed hellions finishing off Keen's wall I'm pretty sure (remember that depot at 30% health?). BFH's were killing his SCVs AND he lost his army AND he was down an orbital.

keen was basically doing a one-base all in. he still hadn't built a CC. he had to do crippling damage. he did zero.

plus mma's hellions burned down the depot wall and had gotten into his base.

TvZ is very unforgivable make 1 mistake you lose. for zerg the real only "mistake" they can make is attacking into a line of sieged tanks before they have broodlords,

for terran the mistakes they can make is nut unclumping units vs banelings and attacking banelings without sieging ur tanks

no actually he wouldn't have won that game even if he survived that. As long as nestea gets rid of the helions his production is so good that he can pump out a billion lings before the thors actually pose a threat to one of his expansions and he just kills him anyway.

wrong. all those banelings would have killed maybe 5 thors if nada had not clumped them up, and the hellions can run back to be safe and kill lings

nestea would have lost that game if nada had split his thors.

dont expect to counter thors with banelings if the terran is smart and splits his army apart. just warning you zergs out there if you expect to counter thor builds with banelings your going to be depressed when you meet a good terran

So he's gonna have to micro his thors INCREDIBLY well ALL the way across the map? Nestea did a flank, no helion was ever going to survive that. Did you see the creep spread? Nestea had so much room to work with it was ridiculous and Nada still had an ocean to go across to actually do anything to nestea. You can't instant split like marine tank.

the creep spread is meaningless. thors will be spread pre-fight. hellions outrun banelings on creep

its not hard to micro thors. split them apart in a checkerboard formation, a-move them, then press hold position if you want to stop in a location (instead of having all thors bunching up together), and continue. if the enemy engages your thors you attackmove then if you see banelings coming make the back thors move back slightly and you will have a very nice thor-spread

it is NOT hard to spread thors vs banelings as you attack-move across the map. its very easy micro to be honest. . very easy micro

the proper thor splitting that would have allowed nada to win that game is very easy micro. i dont know why he didnt do it, probably was stressed and concentrating elsewhere on the map but seriously the micro is so easy it only takes a little bit attention to make it happen

Keen was in a hurry. He was about to meet up with idra and complain about MMA and make fun of Fantasy.

From what I could see on the pixely minimap, I think MMA's hellions got into Keen's base and were killing SCVs.

Thing is, there was no need for instant splitting, nada could've even flanked with a couple thors from the far right and danced his scvs while at it, there were no lings to do anything about it

Ahh I see thanks. Wasn't watching the game that closely, I just tuned in time to see Keen lose vikings and then instantly GG and I was like wtf???

His whole strategy was sky terran. More vikings, and then a banshee to clean ground. When he GG'ed, he lost his air advantage by not knowing about MMA's vikings, the BFH made his way into his base with no defenses, he was down 30 supply vs 60, and he had no expansion while MMA did. Pretty clear cut gg.

Keen didn't want to play MMA. He just wanted to play Nada and saw no point in playing anymore.

MMA will now beat Nada because he doesn't get eliminated till he meets Polt. It's in the GSL Rule Book alongside Nada always beats Keen, MVP always beats Nestea, and everyone forgetting Killer and Virus are still in the GSL.

that battle would have better result, but nada still wouldn't win. Did you see how big of an army left over there was?

If we want to talk hypothetically, if thors were split, banelings would be chasing hellions while lings/mutas finish off the thors. Since the thors are not clumped, lings would have amazing surface area on all the thors while hellions are off the map trying to escape banelings
