Point is not to hold the expo but to get enough money from it to pay for itself and for some units until it dies. Also terran killing expo nexus delays his attack on your main. | ||

Delay the push like Alicia tried to do. And make more units a bit later thanks to the natural income. When 4gate was viable in PvT 1 base vs 1 base was not insta-lose for protoss, but with mass marines + siege tanks you can't hope to win with 1 base at all. | ||

Thing is if you cancel the nexus, the terran will just go for a contain, expand and kill you 10 minutes later. That said, Alicia played poorly and probably would have lost against a macro build as well, but 1-1-1 continues to be a problem. Not so much balance-wise, but for us spectators. To me at least. | ||
