Nah, it's the current state of the metagame.

Standard play has been figured out, and the races are relying on new strats for each matchup. Except there are no alternate army compositions for toss. Terran can go mech or 1/1/1 instead of bio, zerg can go ling/muta or ling/infestor instead of hydra/roach, but toss is just stuck with gate + colossi + ht, with every tech switch being a hard and costly one. Not to mention that there is absolutely zero synergy between a gateway unit ball and templars (lol slow as fuck unit that storms your own zealots, who get stuck behind your stalkers). I honestly don't think the toss-centric nerfs in all the patches did much against us and won't join in any form of whine, it's purely a metagame shift where we're lost at finding an answer to the current builds we're facing, both a new form of harrass to prevent zerg from droning freely, and a new style of unit composition to deal with the increase of tanks and/or fast ghosts in terran play against protoss.

Eventually, we'll figure out something. As of right now, we have to deal with the hurt, and hope our heroes don't fall too far until the metagame shifts again...

Perhaps MC was right all along and stargate is the answer. Or maybe archons are the new black. And why not more warp prism play, as hard as it is to pull off. Who knows. I'm sure we'll be back in our favorite position of everyone whining about how strong we are in a month

I feel like protoss just need to play safer and drag out the game even if it means letting yourself get behind. Then make up for it later by being ridiculously cost effective.

Chargelot/Archon is another effective unit composition at the pro level besides for gateball/Colossus.

We've seen it used to great effect in PvT.

And, PvZ has been dominated lately by forge/FE into Stargate.

So, I don't think the gateball/colo build is the only unit comp in all matchups.

I was mostly talking about PvT. PvZ I think is still fine. A little zerg favored but no where near as bad as PvT.

PvT is actually a lot better than PvZ. That 38% win rate comes from pretty much the 1/1/1.

PvZ though, Protoss doesn't really know what to what to do at the moment.
