Meanwhile on DRG side, he got his natural all set up and droned up to a point where I consider him way ahead of the protoss. If I am to criticize DRG's play, it is his somewhat slow 3rd. He got overlord speed and drop and did only a single round of baneling bomb on JYP's bold expo right beside DRG's main. He also seem to have overcommited to broodlords and missed a critical timing before the voidrays become a problem. The game DRG lost on meta is not necessary due to his choice to go for the gold expo. I believe DRG blindly went for hydras while expecting stargates (I believe he spored all 3 bases). When colossi came and all you have are lings and hydras, it doesn't really matter where you placed your natural.

It looks like he was just dicking around games 2 and 3, trying to free-win game 2 and humiliate JYP game 3. That's... annoying. Well, Smart's certainly a deserving Protoss, and I'm glad he advanced. I just wish DRG had not assumed that he would just advance to the up-and-downs by showing up in the name of the sAviOr, the Jaedong, and the holy July. Might have actually seen some good games.

There's nothing wrong with people admiring his games as long as he's playing well regularly enough and demonstrating the ability to rank higher. Stop looking into results so much. Ten failed tournament runs in a row still won't make him a worse player than Kyrix for example. No one thinks drg is worse than kyrix. But he is overhyped. People put him as the clear favorite against mma and mvp at mlg..like seriously? clear favorite vs a 2 time gsl champion. That's what I call hype.
