This more or less went the way I thought it would: Yellow shows some flashes of brilliance, Boxer understands the game far better because he's been playing it for a year. Give Yellow a year to practice, then we'll see what happens.

Awesome showmatch, I hope someone will work on translating the ingame chat from the vods, John said it was pretty epic
And here is hope that Yellow goes pro in SC2 ♥

It ended with a stomping but it was pretty fun to watch. I can't read hangul but I know that boxer was trolling the whole time. and at one point I saw 75 on screen and I know for a fact he was telling YellOw that he had just gotten 75 minerals back from that bunker

Boxer shouldn't have used such a strong unit against someone so fresh. BFH are close to the nerf bat - he should've considered those last.

I hope you are actually joking lol

Not in the slightest - Banshee first, BFH second in the Terran arsenal - over the next 3 to 6 months, watch and see - they'll be changed.

Are you in bronze?

Roaches hard counter hellions (mutas later)
Banshee's aint even that strong given you have enough aa which isnt hard to get.

Like come on dude, get with it. Terran is already over nerfed. Im a zerg player my self and i really don't think there OP. Its people liuke you that cry to blizard and end up getting shit OVER nerfed and unused (cough reapers cough).

Terran is the only race that has too high of a win percentage in any matchup on the ladder

albeit it's only in korean grandmaster. Blizzard said so themselves.

They may do something about it because of how TvT goes.
Like every terran will be pissed about the match-up and they'll nerf it (like the 4gates)?
But yeah it's really hard to handle when you begin the game

Noway... Hellions are great as they are. TvT got so much better since it is Mech vs Mech or Mech vs Marauder/Tank instead of Marine/Tank vs Marine/Tank... Building a unit just to take shots from the tanks, so your tanks live longer... that was boring!

Yellow could have been masters at least after a month of seriously playing SC2 :/ There's no way he's taking it seriously though if he's gold. Would be cool to see him as a progamer again, but I doubt it.

He just retired though, so he's prob taking it easy. Maybe he'll find some motivation soon.
i was driving down the road this november eve and spotted a hitchhiker walking down the street. i pulled over and saw that it was only a tree. i uprooted it and put it in my trunk. do trees like marshmallow peeps? cause that's all i have and will have.

I think they did this because they wanted to setup the "Beginning" point. If Yellow does start playing SC2 professionally, expect every single tournament he plays in to reference this early showmatch and compare it to how far he's advanced.

Double points if we ever see Boxer vs Yellow face off deep in a tournament as well.

I think hellions are fine. Preigniter is what's wrong with the game.

Why would having a show match between 2 evenly matched high level players make more Koreans start to watch the GSL. They don't watch it normally, so why would hosting a match on a big stage in 3D make them more likely to switch?

They are drawn to watch by Boxer and Yellow, even if MC & Puma had a really epic game it wouldn't make any people who don't watch SC2 want to start watching it, because they wouldn't even tune in.

Have you seen the amount of pro Korean terrans? -.- Of course there GM will have a hightend win % for terrans. Also, i think its a crap way to go about it. Win % mean shit all. I feel like killing people that go on about win %'s.

why so serious?

its a showmatch, now i kinda wish they had events like the BW proleague allstar matches in sc2 so people would just learn to lighten up and enjoy the games

Gold on Korean server is about the same as diamond on US server.

Bronze on Korean = GM on USA obviously duh.

I think people exaggerate, but there IS merit to it. I didnt believe it either until I played KR server myself.. I feel confident against any US or EU GM (which I match often), but KR low-masters are just as hard, if not harder.

And I've actually (hate to admit it) lost some games vs Platinum players on KR.. They are actually decent enough that you can't fuck around; like the ones I lost were when I tried doing things like droning too much expecting the opponent not to realize it and counter, or trying to do some funky cannon rush or so.. They dont fall for that shit there, even at lower levels, where I can mess around on the US server even at low masters level and still come away with a win.

So yes, KR server is significantly harder.. but if you are high-masters or GM on US, you should at least get low masters in KR (assuming you got there with real skill, not just one cheese build) .. but the difference is even Gold players on KR are "GOOD".. You can't mess around vs them and expect an easy win (unless you are BoxeR, obviously)

I play on both KR and NA servers and the difference isn't that huge on top level
for example, I think there's about 300 ~ 600 point difference in Masters level (so If you are 1000 masters in NA you will probably be a 400 ~ 700 masters in Korea as well)
however the difference IS pretty dang huge in lower leagues... (like plat to bronze.... Plat NA players are comparable to Silver to High Bronze players in Korea)

Blatant lie. I'm high Masters in NA and I lose often in Diamond. High Plat players can beat me.

I didn't say Terran is imbalanced - I said those 2 units are too powerful. Blizzard want the game balanced for TvT as well.
Protoss and Zerg might have units, right now which are also very difficult to deal with when done early or massed. - I haven't put thought into it.

I'm suggesting that those 2 units (BFH and Banshee) will likely recieve a nerf - but that's not to say something else may be buffed. I think Blizzard want this game to have very even consistency in balance across a variety of openings and playstyles. They are not at that stage yet where anything is possible, because somethings are just too good.

It sounds like I'm saying "Terran OP" but I'm not, weird I know but hard to explain.
