Destiny beats Ace, Bomber and Rain.

Has also been going out of his way to be really mannered lately in public games, I think.

Maybe this guy can get a little respect now.

add HuK and Puzzle to that list too

I think it is just the mass Infestor play that stops people from giving him too much credit, and I'll admit I have that feeling somewhat as well.

i know his infestor play is good but to just make all these top players look silly by going the same build every single game is just not right.

Lmao he's not though, he's an above average pro, he just literally makes infestors, techs to broodlords, and turtles, and beats players like Puzzle who play 14 hours a day. That's the frustrating part. People need to learn to hard counter him.

Puzzle went pretty much all-in vs. Destiny, and he defended well, primarily with ling/roach. Against that type of pressure teching to infestors when you have an economic advantage is the most logical choice because they're great at defending strong gateway pushes.

I think Destiny will admit that this 5th game had many many holes in execution, but that's not important - he proved his point that such kind of strategy could be successful, especially if very high level players experiment with it. Me, I think the infestor-vs-viking battles look a bit inefficient, but ok.

I would say sure, WP GG even if it was a lower level game, except Rain needed to be using EMP. The like (3)? he landed were too little, too late, and didn't hit. If he bothered to even try to do that (he had many oppourtunities) he would have rolled the broods and that would have been GG many times over.

I just can't get over why he kept taking full energy ghost with cloak into a pile of 8-10 infestors and instead of getting rid of all there energy, so he could actually do something, he instead tried to snipe them off, only to get fungaled. I wish Rain would have played that simple part proper would have made for a much better win/game in my mind.

pros should know how to adapt and learn. it's not rocket science or anything. does he REALLY think vikings can counter infestor/brood lord and can get ghosts 25 min into the game.

You've been talking alot about these ghosts, how about sharing some replays/VODs where ghosts dominate?

Whenever I see terrans get ghosts, they end up largely ineffective or not worth the cost. Might as well spam vikings/marines at their army and hope it breaks instead. Some terran pros I've heard say ghosts aren't really that effective of an counter, since they get easily sniped by fungals and BL fire.

Also tbh I would be interested in learning ghost use. Currently I can't pull it off at all.

even if terran gets ghosts, i still think zerg is way stronger.

but how can you NOT get ghosts in that situation?????????? that's my point. not that ghosts would be op against that composition

just think about it.

Byun vs Zenio in GSL March on Terminus RE (not the most recent one). Byun had some good ghost play vs infestors, ultras, etc...

Destiny, himself, is saying ghosts are really good right now

Yeah, and that nestea guy. Always makes zerglings and mutalisks in zvt! That's frustrating part. People need to learn to hard counter him.

Yeah, because you can compare Destiny and the best player in the world! Because they're so amazing and flawless!

Woosh.
I'm saying just because one person has a style or uses certain units doesn't mean they are bad or simply gimmicky players. Is Losira bad because he almost always uses a ton of banelings? Is MC bad because his style relies heavily on sentries? Is huk bad because he uses a shit ton of blink stalkers?

The last game destiny vs rain was pretty sick actually. Ive played a lot of TvZ and i know how hard it can be to play vs lings/roachs/infestor/brood. I felt how Rain was struggling a lot that last game and destiny was pretty out of minerals and just came back. That just amazed me how fast he came back and turned the game in his advance. That last game woow gj

None of those players use the same build every game in 2 different matchups

You have to do it at LAN's. Clearly Destiny has improved a hell of a lot, but if you don't perform at LAN's it doesn't mean anything. If he makes it through the open bracket we'll have something to talk about.

Right now though Idra, Slush, Sheth, Machine have more results than him easilly as NA Zergs.

Destiny is really strong but he almost play every game the same way...

If he'll show that he can play also different style game i think that he can reach a final of some premium tournament, but actually i want to see him in a tournament where some gosu korean (no Rain is not a gosu korean) play him in a BO5, i'm very corious to see what he can do vs player like MMA, MC Donraegu etc..

Fortunally that will happen soon at MLG! :-D

Edit : This caster is soo good and fun to listen! His music is > of K-Pop!

He just won a LAN a few days ago

But admittedly, it wasn't a really big event.

Destiny final score was lower than rains when he won. IMO take away burrow movement from Infestors and they should be fine. That mass infested terran is kind of bs too.
We got them GOM TvT's and them mlGG's

You know the funny part. Destiny probably plays more per day then most Korean pros.

Amazingly played by Destiny. Add Rain to the list of top tier koreans Stevens beaten, and watch people continue to not give him credit.

right now the zergs I'd think are clearly better in USA are idra, sheth, vibe. I'd put my money on destiny vs the rest.. though maybe not specifically in zvz, just being better at the other matchups. maybe zvz too though lol
