Top class player how? From what I've seen, he's a really, really good North American player.
Would I think he would survive in Korea if the players watched his replays and were ready for him? No way.
But he's very impressive for having no team.

It's kind of odd that Destiny got "way better" about the same time infestors got buffed. Remember the destiny showmatch series from a few months ago where he lost to a ton of mediocre NA pros?

Lmao he's not though, he's an above average pro, he just literally makes infestors, techs to broodlords, and turtles, and beats players like Puzzle who play 14 hours a day. That's the frustrating part. People need to learn to hard counter him.

Rain has his natural up and a lot of marines. Contain is strong. 10:15Spinecrawler can not reach the bunker. Lings are forced to assault it directly. Rain moves out with a lot of marines+hellions and force larva used for units instread of drones. Scan on highground lets marines snipe a Queen. Terran force marches up the ramp and takes spinecrawler to half hp. Destiny barely holds. 12:00Infestation Pit done. Medivacs out. Marine drop in main. Drones pulled. 12:50Infestation Pit barely survives. Infestors now out, 2 of them right now. Terran has 26 harvester lead. Siege tanks out now. 14:00As the Terran force moves past the highground, a huge fungal growth over a lot of marines but none die but mostly red. 15:00Hatchery done at the Zerg natural by marines still streaming in. Single tank left. Destiny ggs. Fnatic Rain 1 v 0 Destiny
Match 2: Shattered Temple

OC done. 4:30Queen out. 2 raxes pumping marines. Ling speed finshes. 2 more raxes placed. Factory also being made. Destiny macros up. 6:304 raxes spamming marines, walling off the nat too. Starport down now. 7:45Stim started. Double upgrades for zerg land on the way. Baneling nest almost done but marines are nearly there! Scan on the zerg nat. 9:30Lings kill gold rocks after marines retreat. Rain threatens medivac drops. 10:30Marine drop at main is repelled. Rain makes a CC at his nat. 11:45Combat Shield finishes. Rain takes double gas, rax into fact. 4:50Reactor swapped onto Fact. Starport made. Ling scout sees reactor fact. Rax makes a tech lab. 5:30Hellions stop by a wtf XelNaga tower. Ling speed finishes. Tech lab swapped onto Starport. Cloacked Banshees on the way. 7:00No Evo or Lair from Destiny at the moment. One Banshee reaches the zerg base as cloack finishes. Evo chamber still not done. 8:40Spore Crawlers now out. Rain has a CC finishing in his base. 10:00Creep tumour sniping from the Banshees. Terran has ~30 supply advantage. 11:15Baneline Nest finishes. Completed Spine moves towards his nat. 5 marines and an SCV move out. 5:25Bunker placed and cancelled. 6:352 more rax from Rain. CC completes at the nat. Fact placed. 7:50Baneling Nest completes. Stim has started. Ling speed half done. Starport on the way. 9:10Mass of marines and a hellion march into the zerg nat. 6 banes complete. 10:00Hellion dies, marines retreat. Infestation Pit completes shortly afterwards. Combat Shield start. Bane speed finshes. 11:30Baneling attack on marines fail. Rain loads up drops. 14:10Sorry, had a phone call. Rain's natural is massively saturated as his main is mined out and has no 3rd. 21:50Ghost cloaking on the way. Mobius is done. 2-0 Bio Terran on the way. Broods are started. 22:50Snipes used on Broods. A lot of them are sniped. A few ghosts lost needlessly. Destiny's 4th is dropped. Mass of Infested Terrans dropped on the tank line. If he does well at MLG, I believe it will do wonders for his reputation. I think qualifying for IPL was a good start, but losing so quickly was kind of a step back. He has shown that he can compete with some of the best players, let's just see if he does it in a tournament

He has clearly gotten better and he clearly has a strong strat. However until he wins at LANs he won't get any real respect from the community imo.
Either way, Gratz to Destiny on a solid win.

I think it is just the mass Infestor play that stops people from giving him too much credit, and I'll admit I have that feeling somewhat as well.

For USA players, he is super top class. Good control, fairly good macro, sick sick sick decisionmaking/patience/crisis control. Without infestors he would still be one of the best in the USA.

You've been talking alot about these ghosts, how about sharing some replays/VODs where ghosts dominate?
Whenever I see terrans get ghosts, they end up largely ineffective or not worth the cost. Might as well spam vikings/marines at their army and hope it breaks instead. Some terran pros I've heard say ghosts aren't really that effective of an counter, since they get easily sniped by fungals and BL fire.
Also tbh I would be interested in learning ghost use. Currently I can't pull it off at all.

The thing holding him back is that his playstyle is essentially a gimmick that most people haven't figured out. He relies on one build for every matchup.
I think Destiny would get alot more respect if he played "standard" sometimes.

Also to be fair Destiny does seem to always been on Starcraft so its not really fair to say hes getting massively out practiced.
