Seeing players beat really good players in a tournament is what gives them a name, not just winning a tournament.
I agree with him, 4 players from nomination would be awesome.

I mean, its not as bad as Apollo going I mean all the time :p
*glass shattering*
thanks
Totally stole my joke
I think the "i mean" is still less annoying than the "there is no doubt about that" of TB. But both are less painful than the way Painuser ends every other sentence with a BUT and then starts a new sentence.
It would be very cool to have lesser known players in this great turnament but from a viewer prespective its always more fun to watch the top players battle there way through each other in order to win some money.

$5k is the maximum amount for a non blizzard sanctioned tournament, if you want to have a bigger prize pool than that then blizzard is entitled to a % of your ad revenue. In this case with all the revenue going back into the tournament there'd just be less for the players as a result.
The nominational sounds cool, though there's a fine line between under-appreciated and just not on the same level as top players.
Personally I'd love a Shoutcraft team challenge or something, small 4 team bracket with winner's league format matches for a fun event.

I think I prefer simple show matches between big players over "Nominationals". There is a reason why they are the big names they are. I don't see how 20k people will be following players that do not have the skills to perform at the top level, and the risk of 3-0 washes obviously increases as well.
But, if possible, I would investigate what the cost would be of simply having a big prizepool SCI, if it doesn't hurt too bad it is probably preferable over any spin-offs which don't offer the same quality as the SCI does. Maybe Blizz does make exceptions to the policy since it is pretty much a non-profit thing.
TB just make this tournament every 14 days instead of every month there is many great players that could use the money and the exposure. No need to make a tournament for players that artn rdy yet it will just make bad matches for the viewers.
Some people I would love in the next tournament would be a player like BeastyQT, Strelok,Spanishwa,Cruncher, major,Happy
