Losing overlords during battle like that has even worse effects for Zerg than losing pylons or depots does for Ts and Ps. When Sheth is already scrambling to get enough roaches out to stop the blink stalks, not only is he supply blocked but he also has to spend those precious Larvae to recover the supply.

Terrans and Protoss dont have to block up their production line to remake their depots and pylons but Zerg loses production capabilities temporarily by having to spend larvae on overlords. Sheth not telling his overlords to back the fuck off really cost him the game there

A lot of people are in awe before Puzzle 500 apm but please bear in mind that blink is 10s cooldown iirc. This is not micro intensive. Puzzle was spamming like crazy.

He had everything required to get the infestors, he just decided to not get them. Imagine a couple of roaches less and 2-3 fungals on the blink stalkers. Guess who would have won then?

its not the minerals that make infesters costly, its the gas.

Infestors .... do have any idea how LONG it takes to get infestors, who then need to wait for energy to fungal? He barely had enough units to hold at the front as it was, just "getting" infestors is funny to say the least.

There was no multitasking involved. That's why the blink stalker all in's are even stronger. all you have to do is warp in. Which is not hard.

People who say the blink micro wasn't great are clueless about the game. Dodging Roach shots, and why would you blink 1 by 1 when Sheth isn't focusing down specific targets? You blink groups to create better concave/positioning. Notice how many times the stalkers started out as a clump, then after blinking became a concave.

Nestea always gets a lot of spine crawlers and lings rather than a lot of roaches. Losira always gets a macro hatch and a lot more lings (assuming he doesn't just 2base roach ling and kill protoss before this even hits)

They never lost a ZvP Bo3. It's not rocket science to defend this

No he wasn't. His control simply isn't good enough to even beat 100 supply with 150, hence why he lost all his overlords (which is what ultimately cost him the game.)

the only answer i can see vs this blink is mass spines, but 50 supply up? if the idra vs MC game showed anything either its that you need to be more supply up or catch the toss not paying attention or something.


that kind of supply difference doesn't mean anything when zerg is making roaches anyways



also i don't know how people say he wasnt close to stopping that, I guess they watched a different game than I did

Uhm no. Do you play protoss? Blink micro is really not that apm intensive. You select a line of stalkers and click backwards, then hit your hotkey for all your stalkers and press a click forwards, rinse and repeat.

730 apm is absurd. He wasn't even showing off that great micro. This is all pretty irrelevant though, it was just me being surprised at the ridiculously excessive spam

People don't 'spam' 15 minutes into the game.

explained earlier by someone. Blinking back stalkers in the front, even if they arent low on health, is a benefit due to them being able to dodge roach shots. why bother with precision blink micro on low health stalks when you can blink back clumps for additional benefit?
