There's always mules to get you back into the game. But seriously, make more spine crawlers. The hellions can just run by any spines you make. It would have helped, sure, but roaches would have been the better investment. I wonder if Luvsic expected him to stop rallying hellions or something... dunno.
Trying to wall completely with 1 spine behind and get roaches up might have worked better. I don't know if he had the creep spread for the wall though.

Usually its just the odd medivac full of them which sometimes ends the game, but that's not exactly creative hellion use, it's just an opening. This has been a lot more interesting seeing them produced en masse in several games lately.
I respecfully disagree. I think terrans are finding out how devastating hellions can be even if prepared for. Balance discussions aside, I've been seeing many a terran using them in a variety of builds to help counter the zerg macro machine.

More hellions, we will see.

J lost all his queens too, 2 hatchs worth of larvas only on lings will never beat even one reac factory. (it'll be close perhaps with creep)

I don't think it's balance whine to say the Terran deserved to lose. When a Terran uses an SCV ball to attack a baneling, he deserves to lose. That's just too much.
Yes, the Zerg was sending things in weird intervals. Those 3 queens at the beginning was a waste. Send one queen in if you need to buy time, or tease him with your zerglings, but he just let his three queens die right at the beginning, and it served no purpose. Then he sent in lings pretty much as they hatched.
The Zerg lost that game, the Terran didn't win it.

Blizzard nerfed it because they thought it was imba in 2v2(iirc), not 1v1. :3 Nah, they nerfed nitro packs because they were imba in 2v2.
By that time 5RR wasn't particularly common because of the previous nerfs to reapers (increased build time, bunker build time increase and I think roach range increase (or that was the same patch as the nitro pack nerf)).
Either way, 5RR wasn't really that common when they nerfed nitro packs.

To be fair, there is something to be said for inventive builds catching players off guard. I doubt Luvsic had much practice against an all-in like it, if he had even seen it at all. I still think he should have done a bit more defensively though after seeing such a large number of hellions that early.

I don't think anyone can deny that MULEs are quite useful in low-economy strategies.

The biggest problem was he didn't pull his drones off gas and stockpiled gas. If he put everything on minerals he could have supported making another queen.
But as it is, he could barely even use all his minerals (I saw some larva sit for a bit with no money).
He just responded pretty poorly.
