You should consider Take went in for about 40000 euros debt for this tournament and invested a bunch of his own money too. I really hope he's made a shitload of money. He deserves it.

40K euro no way, what would he have had 40K spent on? most of the things were sponsored.

you are probably the one who knows it exactly...

1) he bought the flat.
2) he renovated, new kitchen, new bath, partly new floor.
3) all the new furniture he needed
and i'm sure there more things, take did not told everyone.

1) No way. 40K for a 200m² flat in Krefeld? He rent it for 3 months or so I would assume...
2) This.
3) This.

He didn't buy it. He rented it. He invested that much into equipment for the studio and renovation, so the money didn't go all into the flat itself. Bath and terrace was paid by the owner of the flat
ESL will also rent the Takes studio for events and casts like his GO4SC" on Sunday etc. Take isn't employed by ESL anymore. He has his own business and gets his orders from the ESL

What a fantastic Home story cup by Take and all the others who helped him, i've never had more fun watching a tournmey over 4-5 days with lots of cameras, many different people, impressions, absolute sick gameplay and great fun commentary by all. +1 Every euro was worth it
Take is incredible passionate in what he does.

However I feel it's unfair to compare this straight up to MLG and DH (the main event @ the summer LAN, not the invitational), there's no way those types of venues with hundreds of players and a ton of spectators could do something like this - don't compare apples and oranges. :>
In the same way, the HSC will probably forever bear the brand of being "just for fun" or "not as important/huge as the real tourneys", but that doesn't matter does it? Both kinds are great and complement each other nicely.

true but i dont get why hsc "only" got like 25k vievers on the freestream as a peak while dhs had like 80k? maybe it doesnt fit to a format like this to get hyped weeks before by the comunity platforms, but it really deserved way more attention than it got. im pretty sure almost everyone who followed it can confirm that it was the best show ever atleast in terms of overall entertainment.

anyways, im glad i had the pleisure to watch it

Hey guys,

thank you for everyones support.

Just to stop this discussion.

I ve spent more than 45000 Euro for renewing this flat buying all the cameras 2 cameras were already 5800 Euro and alot of capturecards computer to stream alot of cable, the network i had to add more power for the gamingroom cause otherwise it wouldnt be enough. All the couches the chillaoutarea and installing network under the floor and so on.

in this money is no cent of the costs for the homestorycup III included and yes i really spent all my private money into that. and with all i mean all.

I love esport and i wanna be a part of it and let it grow and not just doing a tournament for earning some money and dont invest time and money for a good producition value.

Thank you so much for supporting me and for the people who complain about my english i know its not the best for sure but its not that bad either. I mean everyone easily understands me and i for sure do it in english because it is an interational event and i do not wanna fuck up the people with having a german cast.

Without your support i wouldnt do this and thats what everyone should know : )

Thank you for watching <3

DH is a huge LAN that's been going on for years, they have way more publicity and marketing than Homestory cup

I think the free stream peaked at about 30k during IdrA vs HuK. Not 100% sure if correct, but I did see 29k+ at that time. Also, the HD stream didn't show viewer count and i suspect a lot of people were watching that... But next HSC I expect at least three times the viewers, it has such a good ground to stand on after this.
