Sadly after all this time with so many tournament threads it still is not clear to many users on this site. There are several types of posts that are not acceptable in tournament threads. Any form of:
Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining
Will result in two day to a week long bans even for first offenses. Please stick to the games at hand and enjoy yourselves with a beautiful event such as this and the free service that comes with it. |

We take what we can get. As long as Huk has a non-Korean passport, the foreign world will claim him. Or until he does something really bad and it's embarrassing to have him represent the foreign scene.
I'm a fickle, terrible person.

Despite losing Thorzain it's gonna be a pleasure to watch Bomber play. In the absence of any really fun EU/US players to watch besides the Professor and Idra (just for his gg timing), I'd like Bomber to win this.

Is there a website keeping track of the bracket which isn't dreamhack.binarybeast since that isn't being updated and is down most of the time?

LOL. 16 players, and only 3 terrans advanced.
it's the anti-GSL

They're covering the BYOC tourneys. First day's had wildcards into the last two groups, todays/tomorrows are just for other prizes.

Everyone has been talking about the European Terran power-house. But look at the list below.
Europeans Protoss qualified for Ro16: Naniwa Sase White-Ra Socke HasuObs MaNa
6 out of 16 qualified are European Protoss.
|
Yeah, Hasu and Socke in the playoffs! And Goody and Xlord doing well too. Surprised of such a strong German showing.

The race distribution in the playoff is looking promising for SaSe. I'd only bet on MC to beat him in a PvP. Less so for Naniwa who really doesn't like PvP and might tilt as a result even though he's a good PvPer.

The argument from me and many, many others is that the Korean scene and infrastructure produces better players. No one thinks Koreans have a racial advantage. So it's no surprise that the guy who beats a Korean is the one living and training for the last six months with oGs.
He is a Canadian/American national training in the Korean scene.
If Select is a foreigner in Sc2 terms then Huk is a Korean.

this lack of terran is a pleasant change from GSL

Obviously he isn't Korean, he is Canadian, there isn't much to argue about.

It's a little bit sad that Thorzain's out so early, but he'll have a lot of chances to prove himself in the future. He's lost to 2 strong players in close series, it happens.

Lmao whatever, you can have your own opinion but don't act like what I say is stupid. Huk is a representative of Korea in this tournament, all of his training lately is the result of being part of the Korean Starcraft 2 scene. While he may be a foreigner in the GSL he still brings the Korean playstyle that has influenced him to the foreigner scene. His birthplace is irrelevant to the country he is representing with his play.

i wish MKP and NADA were here

Thorzain and Jinro out tt.
At least I still have Huk to root for.

I don't think this is 100% true. I do believe his apm lets him down a fair bit, but I think he has enough potential in the other parts of his play to compensate. He isn't falling behind the curve persay, we have seen some good games from him recently (at MLG for example), just that he isn't a top tier foreigner anymore because his apm doesn't allow him to be that good unless he has some super innovative build prepared which gets him a big advantage... (from what I can tell anyway).
