Ugh, only cross spawns, really? It really ruins some of the variations of strategy and overall makes the experience more predictable and less interesting, I think some of the best Metal games have been close by air, not every map has to be a macro to 200 and club each other over the head match.

Otherwise, the re-colors look great, and will add a refreshing touch to the games. I'm so sick of Metal, but it looks great with the new tileset.

Yes games don't just have to be max out and have one battle and good thing a simple issue like cross spawns does not create that situation.

It depends, you could also say that close by air makes drop play the obvious choice and therefore your opponent will actually be more prepared for it (I've often found this to be the case on the ladder, and this is in diamond league). You could also argue that if you know exactly where your opponent is going to be, cheese is actually easier than on a map where there are 3-4 starting positions.

Can't believe we get 4 weeks of sick starcraft in a row... hope NASL steps up to the plate this next weekend because you can bet your ass Korea will for WCG.

Edit: also OMG group G is redonculous. Group F is pretty crazy too.

So how many advance from each group?
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

I want to direct people to the WCG 2011 Map Pool for this event, because it isn't listed in the OP. The ESV map team made requested changes to Blizzard maps, including retexturing and removal of gold bases.
Mapmaker & TLMC Judge. Amygdala, Frostline, Crimson Court, and Korhal Compound (WoL).

I CANNOT FUCKING BELIEVE THIS.

I gave up my Friday off (I booked Thurs/Fri for WCG) for a colleague who's meeting a friend in Seoul (his friend just returned from Afghanistan, I am a wonderful generous person etc) and now I am going to miss KT VS SKT LIVE OMG I AM SO DUMB.

I hate myself, I really do. What a goddamn sucker.
