Seems Chinese players got paid for their hard work on korean ladder.

Xigua,6:0,convincing success, S class level as some korean players said, was a darkhorses.

F91, I am not surprised if he takes down any favorite and fails to underdogs, inconsistent player ever.

Macsed is a solid and defensive protoss,he is definitely not the player with great potential but now he can rank top4 protoss in China. His group is much tougher...good luck~

chineses usually work and practice like slaves to be honest so its normal they are getting better

Yeah, to be honest, they practice just as much as the Koreans. But they started later and are pretty much always behind on the metagame and/or hybrid players (in the case of Infi, for instance). They're definitely not as bad as most people think they are.

Just started watching the Vods, I sure hope the annoying music Dan&Nick try to shout against doesn't stay the whole time like this. It's horribly loud and makes it sound like such an amateurish production

Edit: ok stopped, unwatchable. I thought we were in the year 2011, seriously, that's horrible. Poor Tastosis being wasted on such a fail production...

Chinese players have always been fucking amazing they just never have a chance to show it to most westerners.

Idra 3-3? Lol and crying about bo1? I recommend learning some better bo1 builds...

Mb you don't know Code-S material stuff just came from lyn's mouth. 2:0,0:2,0:2.2:3,these are records between lyn and Xigua.During that time, Lyn's teammate Toodming slayered lyn by 6:0(possibly 10:0).Therefore ,Toodming>Xigua? I don't think so.

Well, keep in mind Lyn's playing War3 at the same time. (Impressive performance yesterday by Lyn in WCG too.) If a full-time SC2 pro can't beat a part-time SC2 pro, I don't know how you can say he's Code S material.

It was lyn not me claimed" xigua is Code S material",this comment on xigua is also out of my expectation. Now that lyn said that, perhaps he meant he is not better than Xigua.Besides, xigua is younger than Lyn.

I admit Lyn is really a smart player, you have no ideal what level he is at.Judging his power by his peroformance in GSL several months ago is too bias. Few months ago, leenock is a Code A material, and now you see...

Congratz to KiLLeR passing to the groups.

Too bad it was BO1, I don't like either, it narrow downs the chances to win for good players that tend to mess up. Maybe Idra could have recovered from his matches ? I'm not sure. WCG had this format for years so that's the players fault & besides, aprox 80% of the GSL matches are defined by the winner of the first match.

Anyway KiLLeR would have passed, he's a freaking monster lately, ever since ESL Cologne were he went down in the groupstages by 0-3 but being the only one that took a game out of MC (besides PUMA who won the tournament) and beating the corean Killer on stage by 2-1 he has been on fire. Getting into NewYork IEM and into KIEV OWNING everybody at the qualifiers... He still mess up from time to time but he just needs to focus and take this shit even more seriously.

I'm so eager to watch his game vs mvp. Go chile!
I bet on TiTan and KiLLeR to go through. Lucky me :D

Lyn is nowhere near Code S level, sorry. I am totally gay for him and his BM control, but the most I can say about Lyn's SC2 is that maybe he's Code A level. I don't even know if I'd put Lyn above Moon right now in SC2, and Moon's also at best Code A level. Until they both sit down and actually decide to practice SC2 exclusively (which from what I hear neither of them want to do), then I don't ever see them breaking into Code S. (EDIT: Okay, admittedly they're both better than Soccer, IMO, so I guess you can consider them low Code A.)

Leenock was always Code S level; just got unlucky with brackets.

Don't get me wrong, XiGua is good and definitely not as bad as people think he is -- but people are hyping him up way too much after bo1 groupstages against not-very-stellar opponents.

Idra, Sen, elfi...

I don't understand how can Elfi be an upset having sen, socke, moonglade & f91 on the same group.

I was absolutely sure that F91 would go through (Chinese are sick when they train too much inside their bubble after losing a big tournament) and that the other one would be Sen or Moonglade, but elfi ?? he's not that consistent.

And TiTan played like a boss at Dreamhack groupstage were there were only zergs and protoss, and at the second groupstage he got eliminated because of matches played (BO3 fucked him up). I was absoultely sure that he could beat IdrA.

People crying like babies bcz IdrA lost and honestly I was expecting it, maybe he could have turned the game around, but that only happens on a 20% of the times aprox. He did well on MLG so everybody loves him, but everybody forgets other tournaments were he usually messes up. He's awesome, but sometimes he just lose out of nowhere.

Idra, Sen, elfi...

elfi isn't on the same level as Idra and Sen, him not passing groups does not surprise me at all.

Especially considering that group A was probably the hardest overall group. Makes sense for even Sen to have a tough time in there. Idra has absolutely no excuse though.

Ohhh it was bo1s? That explains idra/sen not qualifying. Kinda lame, though.

Lol... Gotta love fanbois, always an excuse. Most group formats are best of 1s... GSL, MLG, Dreamhack etc. There's like 50 players in the tournament, if they all played best of 3s through the group stage the tournament would take a week. Each group plays at least 21 matches (more if tiebreakers), there's 8 groups, that would be 168 best of 3s to do in 2 days in a tournament/venue where there's also many other games being played and the budget for SC2 is clearly not very high (shit stream quality etc).

Here's a thought, Idra and Sen didn't qualify because they didn't play well that day or they were stupidly stubborn and tried to play too greedy in a best of 1 format (probably the case for Idra as usual lol)?

Idra and Sen probably wouldn't have won the tournament anyways, so it's not so bad. The guys who went 6-0 in their group are going to be scary

The guys who went 6-0 (or 5-1) in their groups are not any more scary than sen or idra.
