Well, Goody does a mech style against P and doesn't have amazing success. I think it's ridiculous that a protoss can turtle like that and just wait for the terran to die. It's almost like the tvz matchup... let the z turtle and you will die, but kill them early and have a chance.


Goody goes mech style to compensate for his lack of mechanics. He's said that himself. Might be why he hasn't had as much success.

Thorzain had plenty of success with a solid mech style before the patch. We'll have to see how it pans out now after it.

And turtling isn't ridiculous. It's just safe. Flash is one of the biggest turtlers to exist in TvP in BW. No one questions the legitimacy of BW or Flash.


I never really considered Flash a turtle against P, but I could see it.


one of the main things flash was known for is his double armory turtle tvp style ~

tho turtling in bw is way harder to do then in sc2 since in bw if your timing isnt really well thought out your opponent will have the whole map and you lose.

Yeah, I'm surprised he thinks he can afford it on just 2-base while still massing mech. After getting cloak and Banshee.

But, Goody's sooo far ahead right now, it's hard to imagine Machine coming back.

My beef with late game TvP is that a terran has to do sooo much more to win the game. In late game TvP the terran has to micro a lot more...do multiple drops...etc...etc...and toss just has to defend and build up econ and death ball and win.

Terran must win early to midgame...accept for mirror! I guess it's something I have to accept. How the race was designed.

If HasuObs is going to turtle, then perhaps his opponent should just take the whole map and play the battle of attrition with ghosts vs. templars. Sooner or later he's going to run out of gas.

going for eco or buildings late game is the worst thing u can do. i am not gonna explain the obvious reasons it's just ridicolously stupid to throw away units at anything that is not the opponent main army in a late game situation. anyway we're speaking about protoss having an unbeatable composition and terran not having any chance to fight against it in any possible way. there's no answer to late game because terran's most cost efficient units are available only in early/mid game and it's all about taking advantage out of them. there are huge balance swings in the matchup since early game belongs to protoss (due to the amount of super strong cheesing/early game possibilities), mid game is terran playground and then it goes back to protoss.
