When your two factory gets scouted and you still go with it, it's pretty obvious that you're going to lose because the Col team is smart enough to counter you. It almost seems like CatZ and Drewbie figured out how to play 2v2 as Z and T, then showed it to everyone, then everyone copied them. It could be why people claim that T and Z are a better combination in 2v2. I just wonder what other type of builds they have. People don't play protoss in team because it's almost impossible to hold off early cheeses on the wide ramp maps. You can go forge first to hold them off, but then your opponents can expand safely 99% of the time and put you behind regardless. The tried and true 1v1 method where you forcefield your ramp isn't possible on the wider ramps which means instant loss on half the 2v2 maps... Having two races is far more versatile than doubling up on T or Z. You can always feed your opponent so you can play two base T or Z from five minute into the game or standard. If you play ZZ or TT then you gain absolutely nothing unless you're doing a strategy that wins before you can feed your ally. Which is why 2v2 is horrible for competitive play, its fundamentally imbalanced, I really don't know what possessed them to have it in this league.

I want old SeleCT back! Pretty sure Cruncher isn't a ladder scrub. He's proven time and time again that he can play with the best in NA. [/QUOTE] Yeah, Cruncher is actually pretty good. But that wasn't exactly a gosu move. Players (like Naniwa) have made themselves completely invulnerable to silly moves like that by scouting thoroughly. Yet SeleCT failed to even execute the basics. So yeah. I miss old SeleCT.

How can they not notice cruncer is 3-3 vs 1-1 :/

Because the tried and true way to evaluate something in Starcraft is to do it. Even if 2v2 turns out to be the worst thing since 150 mineral spawning pools, it's better to try and see how it plays out than to condemn it before it's ever given a chance.

Cruncher's army is going to get EMPed and wiped out by marauders, then he is goingto lose 2-3 bases before he has any units again..

this is gg for select, he has a 300/200 army to contend with with no hopes of reproduction

I call Cruncher the Goody of NA. He does a lot of dumb shit and doesn't look impressive at all, but somehow wins a lot of games.

He can basically warp in a full army again at this point with so many gateways up.
SeleCT not attacking after a decisive victory is further helping him to lose this terrible game lol

cruncher spreading himself too thin

Select keeps destroying Cruncher's army with minimal losses... Then does nothing.
