Very, very nice build.

Judging from the other games he played I feel there are more deserving players.
Watch him block his nexus next game!

Forgot about that LOL!

That was a pretty cool game from anypro. I haven't seen phoenix do well against hydra before that.

Zergs? Have you seen much whining about zerg in here? No? Then shut up instead of posting flamebait that makes the thread worse.

I hardly even comment once the shit starts flowing cause I can't keep up with all the posts while watching the game and I'm more concerned with the fun of watching GSL than winning forum arguments about stuff someone else did.

phoenixes only counter hydras in superior or equal numbers + having a gateway army buffering for them initially so that they can go in and get the lifts off before they get picked off instantly. and that's exactly the advantage that anypro's had this game. the fact that anypro has more workers and bases than nestea should be quite telling... why hasn't nestea just GG'ed yet?

because he doesnt know everything that obs does? this is the semi finals and he is on the cusp of winning. keep fighting untill it's apparent that you've lost etc

when you lose ~40 workers to roaming phoenixes and scout his third while you can't even get your third to live for more than 2 minutes, you aren't on the cusp of winning... it's apparent you've lost.
in a series, you should save your energy for the games that you can win.
And that's what she said.

What is this s*** going on here with all ins ? A build is an all in as long as you have no transition out of it if you get countered.

In the first, he could NOT get countered and HAD a transition planned.
In the second, same, Protoss was over greedy and Nestea could easily retreat if needed, expand, and continue playing.

it's the current state of lr threads. a vocal minority that doesnt know what it's talking about but think it does and knows how to post and thus thinks that doing so actually contributes. Sadly they dont get what they are doing(ruining the thread with their stupid bullshit).

Jesus Christ are people really this dense or am I being trolled?

You're being trolled, for sure.

How is ling/hydra an all in when he still had money to expand, as well as he saw there was no colossus?

Attacking at any time without 4 bases is now an all-in, apparently.

If that push doesn't kill the opponent you're on 2 base with pure hydraling against colossus tech. That's a total all-in, that's like saying 2 base colossus timings aren't allin because you can skip a warp-in and grab a third - sure, but you're super behind for no benefit.

You are on 2 base Hydra-Ling against a Protoss who has only enough income to make nothing but Zealots and Colossus.

"2 Base Colossus all-ins" with only 1 base with of income to reinforce doesn't work

I'm confused, I would include "killing the natural" in terms of "killing the opponent". If that build doesn't do serious damage you're a long way behind ie. it's an allin.

You don't know what you are talking about. At all.

You have to explain statements like that to avoid looking foolish.

It's a timing attack. The Protoss could not chase him. At any point Nestea can cut drones, expand, make a round of drones and put up a spire. Realising that your opponent is being super-greedy and choosing to do a timing attack does not make it an all-in.

What if protoss did a two base 3-gate aggression and Nestea took an early third? What if Protoss lost that army? Is that an all-in?

No, because that's a light pressure, if you don't commit with the units from a 3-gate pressure you aren't behind. If you don't commit with those hydras and zerglings and try to play standard from that point you shouldn't and won't hold a well executed and timed colossus push.

Nestea had enough time to get roaches OR corruptors out to deal with that 2-3 colossus push that is apparently so invincible. Nestea had a large enough army and no matter what, was going to do enough damage to put that colossus push back 3-4 minutes in order to get the units / economy needed to counter it. It is impossible to do a well executed and timed colossus push after losing ANYTHING, especially when he has that many hydras and lings at his door.

How can Nestea make that many units and not trade enough to put that colossus push back enough to be able to hold THAT push?

I hear if you have 20 stalkers you can kill immortals too. It's weird, because I thought immortals countered them.

Jesus christ people, counter does not mean invincible against all, including superior value.

Han-bang Timing

A Han-bang attack refers to a move when a player stops improving their own economy in order to mass an army to attack and finish the game, somtimes at a specific timing window. It shouldn't be confused with an all-in move as a player performing a han-bang style attack will prepare for it from at least equal footing with their opponent and as such it isn't a move made out of desperation from a disadvantaged position.

The term han-bang translates from Korean as "one punch" referring to its nature.

Is it different from ee han timing?

True. I think he's just been popping up a spire in all 3 games in case of collosus. Just another reason why all the people crying 'all in' are retarded.

Corruptors are the Zerg's necessary response to mass phoenix. Remember that FG only holds units in place for 4 seconds, so against a dozen or more phoenix it's not terribly helpful. On that same map anypro went for a lot of phoenix against July in the March GSL and July shut it down quickly with corruptors.
