I know 300 minerals per base hurts a little, but 2 cannons can kill an overlord before the even reach the probes, and if any banes drop they get killed really quickly. zerg would then start sending in a empty overlord to get hit first

4 gate GO! I think. I hope.. now i want to delete this cause i'll get made fun of if he doesn't

The top 2 from each group advance to playoffs straight away for a total of 10/16 playoff spots.
The top 11-30th players in the league get divided up into 4 man brackets and play for 5 more playoff spots.
The final spot is filled by a gigantic open qualifier.
He might not win his group at this rate, but he still has a chance to make top 30, and failing that, he could still get to playoffs through the open qualifier.

BTW smooth commentary and video, crisp sound, much improved experience as time goes by

One mistake can put you way behind in terms of economy. O u mean like blue flame helion drops? Lol, same situation buddy, it's nothing new that protoss players suddenly have to face Blue flame drops are x10 easier to handle than multi prong baneling drops. Cannons alone don't stop it, you still have to pull probes.
?
You're sure they aren't 9x easier to handle?
IMO they are equally annoying and you must be equally fastidious to catch them in time. They can deal just as much damage as 4 blings, or more.

Overlord drops have been around for a very long time; the zerg buff proposed on the PTR is the spore crawler root time being reduced?

I gotta say, IdrA's ZvP has been looking pretty good as of late

If you drop banelings at two expos whilst engaging his main army, IT IS NOT EASY to defend against it. There is so much more to this game than just defending against the drops, the drops can do no damage and still give the Zerg an advantage, it gives him the room to expand at will. It is tough, you need to know your timings well and what your army is capable of.
HasuObs may have made it look easy but just look at the way Mana played, even at these levels it is still easy to get raped by baneling play.

Im a lil confused about the map, Didnt this map have rocks on the third????
Either this map somehow doesnt have them, or idra took those rocks down super quick.
halp?

They're both hard to handle, but blue flame drops you see less because most Terrans don't go mech vs. Protoss. And when they do go mech they don't usually build medivacs, which after all are useless for a mech army except for transporting things around. By contrast with Zerg, going the ling baneling style the drops come with the strategy. You don't have to add anything extra.

I believe this is the GSL version, not the ladder version.

I think they're playing the GSL/TSL version of the map now, just like they are with the others. So I don't think there are rocks.

The ladder version Taldarim Altar LE has rocks on the third.
The GSL version ( i think its Taldarim Altar SE or RE not sure) has no rocks on the third.

halp? They were using a stupidly old version of this map originally that was a bit more Protoss friendly, and had rocks at the third. They were proposing to change the maps but had to have every team manager agree to the change to use the more recent maps.
