idra looking sick good, he's looking like the best foreigner right now. Also gretorp has definitely gotten alot better. He and incontrol's chemistry is so much better than before. I think I'll have to buy a nasl pass now .

Blue flame drops are x10 easier to handle than multi prong baneling drops. Cannons alone don't stop it, you still have to pull probes.

I didn't get the impression that he was complaining about it - rather, it makes the matchup evolve, so I'm actually pleased with it.

And Protoss has to deal with Blue-Flame drops too, although more rarely.
I first realized Immortals were reincarnated Dragoons when I saw them dancing helplessly behind my Stalkers.

It's kind of a "cross-you- finger-and-hope-he-isn't-lookin- at-his-minimap" style, but it clearly works well.

Why don't protoss build two cannons when they see drop?

I know 300 minerals per base hurts a little, but 2 cannons can kill an overlord before the even reach the probes, and if any banes drop they get killed really quickly.

They can kill 1, but not 2 Overlords full. And failing to pull it once costs a LOT of income that is needed to fight the army, so cannons are cut.

Idra is playing really well lately, but one thing I've noticed watching his stream as well as tournament games, is once he gets to 3+ bases he floats a ton of minerals while being gas starved. Considering how dominant he is already, imagine if he just got an extra macro hatch and pumped out pure lings to harass or just bolster his army.

That's what hasuobs did, you still have to react quickly but it certainly helps because it kills the banelings before they can follow the probes and makes it that you don't have to bring part of your army to deal with it
