Yes void rays do take down thors. More vikings means his tank numbers will be lower so they help there too. Carriers are more ideal though.


Vikings just shut down any kind of Protoss air very well. Seriously, there's no rock paper scissors there. Vikings > All (or strike even in the case of Phoenixes).

This is not correct. Carriers were proven very effective against Vikings in higher numbers. The retarded DPS wins.


Every time I've seen Protoss switch to carriers against vikings they've failed. Terran players don't just sit there with vikings and auto-attack carriers, you know - they kite with them. We'll see though.

It's pretty map dependant.

Tal Darim is pretty bad for mech. Goody's just really really good at it.

It's atcually pretty good since you get your third very easy and your fourth isn't too hard either.

Cross pos is an absolute bitch. Close positions it's not bad, but it's not fantastic compared to almost all of the ladder maps.

Hmmm yeah cros position would probably be worse for mech ^^

well the difference is u can have 5 stalkers(or dragoons) next to ur nexus. in bw if 5 vultures came they kill maybe 3 probes.

in sc2 if 5 blue flame hellions come they can kill like 10, even 20 probes.

5 dragoons fighting 5 vultures in kinda risky though with the potential to kill the entire probe count with one lucky mine. Pylon wall and cannons can secure an expo as easily against hellion as it did in bw i think.
