Carriers are pretty costeffective vs Vikings, but tbh Goody started making Vikings so early that I don't think Naniwa had the time to build up the numbers quickly enough.
they really aren't... a big swarm of vikings 1 or 2shot carriers and dance back to protection from thors/turrets. they are way more cost effective than carriers u have to load up with interceptors. carriers are better in straight up engagements but u shouldn't do that with the vikings..
what protoss then has to do is have templars to storm the vikings but with good tank positioning the templars can't do that.
