MC did a bullshit move at the end, he was afraid of fighting White-Ra and resorted to cheese instead of doing a controllable game. Pure bullshit.
If MC were afraid of White-ra, he would have cheesed the shit out of him in game 3, not game 5. You know, like how Idra cheesed MC in game 2 because of a lack of confidence, and not waiting until after he had pulled even and was on a winning streak.
I think it's safe to say that the two finalists are two of the players least likely to be afraid of anyone else in the world.

That girl reporter is great because well I know her and she really cares about the community, she tried asking some user questions from Team Liquid aswell
It's only special taktics if White-Ra does it.

anyone know if they will release replays of this tourney??
|
Yeah MC made 5 different build in every game because... he's really not confident about normal play vs white-ra... in fact he beat him 3-0 in TSL game just some day before and he had only a 90% circa of win on PVP.
What he show in this torunament is his complete dominance doing such a a different build in every game he made.
LoL MC haters are so pathetic...

Vods already exists on http://sv.justin.tv/dreamhacktv/videos This is the uncut version. A edited version will be up on http://www.youtube.com/dreamhackmedia
This is what I have heard( I may be wrong just so you know)
//Andols the ONLY camera guy on Dreamhack Stockholm Invitational (Does my hand (first MC interview) and back of my head (when cutting to the wrong cameras) look good?)

So I just watched one of the vods of MC vs IdrA and wanted to say that (as many others have) the production quality is great... but there is one thing I am not sure of that I see so often... why do zergs attack the pylon when it is used to wall a building off... If you leave it up, then the opponent has to spend more time taking it down, which may give you enough time to kill a production facility... it just seems that in a game with so few options like that one, they would have something like that on their mind, and not touch the pylon. Oh well... surprising play by IdrA.
Edit: Wow I like Dreamhack EVEN MORE... they are playing Armin Van Buuren.

i'm a big fan of white ra and mc. I wanted white ra to win but mc played awesome. You have to do everything you can to win and cheesing is a part of sc2.
It's called mind games but i do not like 4 player maps have cross spawn positions that's just silly 4 Player map with Cross Spawns simply has longer a distance between the bases, decreasing the power of cheese/rushes... Would you rather have a possibility of getting close by ground spawn on Metalopolis in a Zerg vs Terran match? Such things are just too uneven and don't belong in a tournament.
Well looking at the last game MC vs white ra. Rather than making cheese harder on that map it actually made it much easier since he knew exactly where white ra was and unfortunately white ra didn't know it was a forced X spawn and scouted in the wrong place.
I wouldn't say X spawn is a clear cut example of making maps less cheese susceptible. Rather it can promote cheese tactics as you clearly see in Game 5 of MC vs White ra.
Btw MC won fair and square so whiners please stop whining.
I just believe cheese is part and parcel of the game so these cross spawn positions is a bit silly. You will be able to rush regardless if u r close or far positions. Far positions = proxy builds whereas close positions = early rush.
Tha'ts how i see things.

mc is beast cheese in last game nobody wouldve expected that cept for trolls great play by mc n whitera

That VOD list on the first page gives some pretty big spoilers by listing how many games were played in each set and then listing the players of the semi-finals and finals, which is completely unnecessary and pretty much spoils everything :/

Nice job Dreamhack, I thought it was like Top Gear for Starcraft 2 and I love that show.

Don't care what anyone says, eh? Nice seeing how stubbornly willing some people are to ignore logic.

ugh spoilered everything in the fucking top of the thread, come on......
seriously, i was watching this last night, I feel like it's so easy to just spoilertag and instead you're just like HERE'S THE BRACKETS ALL IN A LIST, ENJOY THE SPOILERS...
i was watching this since last night and woke up to resume it and you just spoiled the rest of it, i have no idea why you'd do that man... i feel like so few people on TL actually realize how easy it is to avoid spoiling stuff for others =/

still waiting for Idra vs MC VODs...

so much fucking BS and bias going on in these threads, you guys sure are doing well to represent the foreign starcraft scene.
no reason for korean gamers to put in the effort to appeal to foreigners when the foreign response is spouted with pure bullshit and dumbfucking stupidity.
and ppl here used to complain how krn progamers did'n't reach out to foreign fans; well now you know why....dumb asses.

agreed.
all these whiners are pathetic.

If the series had gone exactly the same way, yet with the players reversed, you idiots would be praising White-Ra for his 'ballsy' play in game 5.

MC's PvP is superior to White-Ra's, but I am not sure if there is someone better in PvT in the whole world than White-Ra including MC. On a whole White-Ra can beat anybody no matter of his style of play, but MC for now is the guy to beat...
LOL!
Troll much? White-Ra PvT =/= best in the world. The best PvT player does not lose 8-2 against a Code A Terran with no cross server lag (played the games while both were in SK).

I hope the replays aren't released- keeping them private seems much more professional to me.

they should play a game while hiding who is who. people won't know whether to be upset or marvel at the gutsy play by "player 1"
|
Awesome tourney. Lots of crazy games, and had no problems with game 5 in the finals. I know White Ra would have never expected 2 proxy gate so it was the perfect build to do...
Grats MC .
