I feel like Up and Down matches should be done this way too. Winner of code A chooses his 2 opponents first, then runner up, etc. That way we won't see someone like Leenock face off against 2 titans again after getting so far in code A. Or you could have them each choose 1 opponent, then the other one afterwards.
Yeah I see what you are saying. The only problem is that Top 8 from Code A and Code S rank 17~24 (3rd place in their groups) get 2 chances to make it to or remain in Code S. And Code S rank 25~32 only get once chance to remain in Code S.
Nomination for Up&Down would not work as smoothly due to that system. Reaching Top 8 in Code A is a commendable feat and some players do not get so 'lucky' but Super Tournament is coming up and we will get to see how Code A vs Code S players will turn out.

Basically, we are putting all 64 players (32 Code S + 32 Code A) together in one pit and letting them fight it out till there is only one man standing.

Will the Ro64 be random or will a Code S player play against a Code A player?

So many questions.
Since you associate the word 'awesome' with 'cake', I will try to explain this on a level that you might find acceptable.
The event is pretty much like Ash choosing a Pokemon.
"I am oGsMC and I choose YOU!"
The chosen Pokemon will either try to fry oGsMC or MC is gonna put him in the ball.
Now I am not sure where this is going but yeah Ash caught them all.

Super tournament will be epic.
I hope Jinro doesn't get a bunch of Protoss in his group, I'm sure they'll want to pick him, I can see Anypro picking him since he called him average.

Anyways, many thanks on updating us in this thread with official information. I am quite excited for the Super Tournament, which should harken back to the days of yore when we had the Open Tournaments.

Wow, Code S vs Code A tournament? The diversity of events that GOM gives us is simply amazing. GSL will never get stale this way, with so many different tournaments filling the gaps.

Hey Sam do you know if there are any promotion/demotion implications after the Super Tournament? It would be weird if Code A guys win it/do well (Top 8) but is still stuck in Code A after that.
