I did in the first page (edited as it recently did get a response.)
Basically two professional eSPORTS teams have Leagues that are run by the same people who manage pro teams or are even contestants of these tournaments.
One league has it's contestants as casters. ( and i am a HUGE iNcontrol fan. By far my favorite SC2 personality, because he actually has a personality. I love his play, I love his casting, I love him as an eSPORTS personality, and I think he is a great person, but this is in my opinion, a time where you need to choose between them.)

Considering that they could have hired superhot girls who have never played starcraft we should be pretty happy with the selection of casters - unlike the KM fiasco.

I would love to see some new casters... I'm sure there's talent out there without broken english or nasal voices or anything like that.
Anyway this sounds awesome and I'll follow it! Not a big fan of calling it "Best of the West" though (as seen on http://www.ign.com/ipl/starcraft2/tournaments/best-of-the-west )

Why is it the case that invitationals are never going to be fair? It doesn't seem to me that it would be hard to avoid any potential conflicts of interest.

I'm trying to suggest that the mutually beneficial business contract between the tournament organizers and one of the teams competing presents a potential conflict of interest.

Why aren't you guys following BW naming conventions? You are just going to end up confusing the koreans lol
|
great maps, and its just a trial season so the prizes aren't so bad
|
By the way MBCGame and OGN both sponsored Starcraft 1 pro teams for years(MBCGame still has one) while simultaneously hosting both Proleague(the BW team league, EXTREMELY BIG DEAL) and their own starleagues. Casters were sometimes former members and longtime friends of the teams involved, and sometimes were even technically still registered progamers themselves. It didn't cause any issues. Nobody's ever had to call out MSL for rigging the tournament in favor of MBCGame Hero members. As long as the future tournaments are primarily qualifier-based there should be zero issues.

I enjoyed the teaser video for its campiness, btw. :D

Most important question of all is
Will Jessica Chobot announce the players at the beginning of each match, like Mr. Streetfighter for the GSL?

You forgot number 4.
4) ROOT has a great line up of players that has been performing very well since sc2 has come out. Seriously man, they belong there.
I think the casters are just fine. They are casters that have mass appeal and thats what IGN is looking for. How many casters have this mass appeal? Outside of the ones chosen I would say Husky, Day9, and JP. I'm not including tastosis because thats just unrealistic as they are busy with GSL. Day9 seems to be a rather busy guy with all the events he already does. JP has MLG. Husky has a lot of stuff too. This tournament isn't meant to cater TL. Of course they want you to tune, but they have much bigger aspirations than TL posters. They are catering this towards their audience on IGN and DJ Wheat, HD, Painuser and TB are the guys that do it very well.
A quick question about the casters though. Its how you listed them. You list DJ Wheat and Total Biscuit each on their own. Then you list HD and PainUser as a tandem. Does this mean Wheat and TB will be doing solo casts while HD and PainUser will be casting together?

They would also think of the Super Bowl if you called your league Starcraft Super Bowl, even though its not a football tournament.

I don't see why tourneys think that having a very good analytical will send people who are new away from the tourny, from my experience that's what got a lot of my friends into sc2. Keeping it at a low level really doesn't appeal to anyone who takes the game seriously imo. Non-players do not take the game seriously and play-by-play is what the majority of not only eSports but also real sports spectators watch for. The idea that analysis is the be-all and end-all of commentary is an attitude that exists almost exclusively on TL and nowhere else. If you want to bring in new people into the scene by exploiting a vast opportunity to market on one of the biggest gaming networks there is, you will use casters with proven mainstream appeal and the ability to pull big VoD numbers on a reliable basis. Sports would not be where it is today, the multi-billion dollar industry, without an army of millions of casual viewers. eSports will not grow without getting it's own casual army either. I see what your saying and I think that there is a place for casters with "proven mainstream appeal" if that's what you'd like to call it. However, looking at the list of casters, it is all people of the same type, with the exception of Painuser. I think that some balance is in order here. Without super analytical casters like Day9 for example (obv he's super busy and can't do every tournament) a tournament alienates a part of the potential audience. With so many tournaments out there and as a spectator having to choose between the one's that I want to watch (c'mon not everyone devotes their life to JUST watching sc2) I tend to make choices with the casters in mind. Not in a malicious way but I just want the time i spend watching sc2 to be as enjoyable as possible. Also, if TL's community cares about analysis then YOU should listen. TL represents the majority of the sc2 e-sports foreign community and it's opinion matters. In viewer numbers it is not the mjority. And I as a TL user do not have a need for analytical casters all the time. Actually I think the casters are the best thing in this IGN announcement.
To be honest I don't really have any stats to justify that I think TL is the majority of the foreign SC2 e-sports scene. So I'd be willing to take that back if someone can prove to me that TL does not represent the majority ...
And I want to clarify that I'm not saying that the casters are bad. In fact I never said that.
I just think the casting team should accommodate the community which I think (by reading this thread at least ... any many other threads on casters) wants analytical casters.
The casting team should be balanced, some "proven mainstream" guys, and some analytical guys. So as to not alienate any part of the community. I know you can't please everyone but the OP said that they were looking for critical feedback so there it is.

Looking awesome.
Not in the FAQ, and i havent read all the previous pages yet. But will there be a subscription fee to watch the VODs on IGN? If not, is this likely in the future?

NASL has nothing to do with EG though, its related to GosuCoaching but not EG

also, love the choice of HD and total biscuit casting.

Majorly bummed that this isn't going to be a team-based competition. GSTL has given us lots of awesome series, and the Korea v World match was also fantastic; I think that format has a ton of potential and I wish it got more recognition.
Now I go back to hoping that the GCPL gets a second season...

BW has tournies that were ran by sponsors of teams.
