This is the most naive post of the day.

you know the open bracket has links to a lot of replays, someone should cast those in the mean time

The StarCraft 2 stream will return at 4:45 CT. So that means 20 minutes + how many hours? ^^ In all seriousness, I really hope they get this under way soon so MLG doesn't look it's fan base! ~~ All though unfortunately .. I'm sure they already lost a good amount.

*THIS IS NOT A WHINE*
What's on the stream right now? Is it like some sort of food break, is there no SC2 on right now, or is it just because of technical difficulties?

Hopefully iccup does mlg mondays again. Looks like we're gonna miss a lot of games.

Wow, thats like half a night of a GSL night.... over the span of 2 days and who knows how many hours. Yikes..... =(. I was looking forward to this event too
I called my friend who is at the event and he said it's really fun though, like watching fromt he sidelines and basically getting to see other games they don't televise

if for some odd reason mlg didnt ask for lan support, its not keeping blizzard from listening to all the other lan tournaments that no doubt ask for the same thing. or every player. or every spectator. or every caster. or everyone

How in the world did you guys manage to find my secret post? Ah well it does not matter anyway. It is impossible to track the page, and by the time this post comes out it will be... wait actually the probability of one of the guys who found the first is reading this second is eben smaller then finding the first at all. So there you have it, day saved. Concerning the MLG matter.. uhm ... yeah kinda my evening ruined too, but thread is good

Probably the single most stupid thing I've ever read on TL, and that's saying something. Congrats!

mlg's travelling format + internet-based game just doesn't work :\
mlg's fault for not testing thoroughly and even attempting to run sc2 on crappy internet. sucks for everyone

and of course, yes lan mode would fix this problem, but blizzard doesn't want to be seen as weak and cave to any demands. Much like the government refuses to negotiate with terrorists, blizzard refuses to negotiate with its customers.
In all seriousness it does astonish me that blizz hasn't resolved these problems either by giving MLG lan mode, or bringing some bnet servers in semi trucks to the events like they did for WoW Arena. Dream hack had an interesting way of guaranteeing bandwidth, but its not practical for MLG to do the same thing since they move around every time and the cost of getting a dedicated line to somewhere they know wouldn't have routing issues to the Bnet Servers for each of the venues is simply too high. The only reason DreamHack could do it is because they knew there were making a serious infrastructure investment that they will continue to use at every DreamHack from now on.
At the end of the day Blizzard is the only party that could take action to resolve these issues.
I think we all have to remember that at the end of the day, Blizzard is its own company. Although we as the SC community and broader Egaming community would like to believe the Blizzard has a much more active role and relationship with companies such as MLG (or GSL for that matter), Blizzard makes decisions that they believe are in the best interest of their own profits, shareholders, and future development. Now that last point, "future development," is very debatable as it seems that Blizzard would certainly gain a lot from partnering more closely with groups such as MLG to put out great events that will attract a greater fan-base and consequently get more people to buy Blizzard products. But for now, all we can do is speculate as to what actually goes on behind closed doors at Blizzard's HQ.

I'm wondering why they aren't just having DJ and JP commentate the Open Bracket matches since the main stage ones aren't working but they obviously have the ability to stream their faces.
