And keep in mind that MC got a total of one win, and MVP got a total of zero. So we could theorize all we want, but I think it's rather insulting of you to think that the Koreans fixed it so that it would look close. Apparently you didn't pay attention to how unsettled their entire team looked all series long. And how many excuses Cella was making for his team's lackluster performance early on. They were pissing themselves. Is this a joke? The Korean team was soo cheerful and laughing the whole time. The foreigner team looked way more serious and stone faced. I'm pretty sure the Koreans weren't trying/were hiding builds until they sent out July to mop up the foreigners.

Cella tries to purposely send out players in an order that will allow for perhaps the closest and most entertaining amount of matches, even asking his fans what matchups they want to see and that it's okay if the Korean team loses because he just wants to make sure we're entertained 2. Sen and other foreigners say in an interview that they felt the Koreans weren't playing serious in Day 1 3. People proceed to say, "lol no, Korea was trying as hard as possible, they were shitting their pants" ... What? Day 1 they might not have been trying as hard though I admit. B/c they knew they had mc/nestea/july and mvp left so it would make sense. Its like the nba all star everyone is relaxed trying to have fun and put on a show for the fans but every single person wants to win too.

Sen and other foreigners say in an interview that they felt the Koreans weren't playing serious in Day 1 3. People proceed to say, "lol no, Korea was trying as hard as possible, they were shitting their pants" ... What? Clearly Korea started out with their worst players (a term I use lightly because everyone in this tournament are among the best of the best in the world) and saved July, MC, MVP, & NesTea for last. I think the idea, in part, was to have guys like anypro, MKP, & San take out the entire World Team so that they could say that they wiped them without needing any of their champions. I also think Nada was pretty surprised that he needed to play on day one and probably wasn't quite prepared for that (although I don't think the significance of that should be overstated because most of the World team flew in shortly before the tournament and likely had little time to practice too, and Artosis mentioned that WhiteRa was jet-lagged on day 1). It's also very likely that MC was told he'd be put in against TT1 to start the day and so I would imagine that he was practicing that matchup beforehand (MC cares about his reputation and probably imagined himself all-killing the World team). And then July, MVP, and NesTea also must have figured there was a good possibility that they were going to be used and needed to be at their best. I was soooo impressed with WhiteRa -- he's one of those guys who's a fan favorite but I never thought he was at the same echelon of play as the top Koreans, but then he took out MC with perhaps the most brilliant anti-4 gate strategy yet seen in PvP and would have beaten July but for not realizing that he still had a good economic lead after stabilizing. I think he has a strong case for being one of the top 5 Protoss players in the world (including Korea). And then there's Jinro -- I feel like I see him use that exact strategy (15 CC followed by a 3 rax wall) in TvZ on all of the large GSL maps (he did it twice vs. Morrow in the TSL) and that he loses with it a lot. The strategy sounds awesome in theory, but then I think the Zerg has two strong options to kill you: 1) Baneling bust all-in (a la Morrow), or 2) Quickly grab a 3rd hatch and drone like mad knowing that the terran can't pressure you. I think Jinro was expecting July to go for the all-in baneling bust and he built a beautiful wall to crush it. Instead July droned up, got an earlier than usual Spire, and the game was effectively over well before the final battle. I think Jinro has the sickest micro & macro mechanics among the foreigners and really could have taken a few of the top Koreans out, so it was a shame that he went out without really getting to put up a fight. I think most of the top Terrans are struggling with figuring out how to play the new maps (see: IMMvp considering changing races) because early pressure usually fails hard (watching Mvp trying to first 2-rax and then 4-rax vs. Dimaga was just funny), and going for the ultra fast CC instantly eliminates the threat of early cloaked banshee, blue flame hellion drops, or marine all-ins. Anyway, I digress -- great series.

Anyway, I digress -- great series. It was particularly impressive to see creative strategies never before seen in Korean GSL (Ling/Infestor, 3 Gate Robo + Warp Prism (!!!)) used by foreigners to win games, as well as one-sided beatdowns (Sen v. MarineKing) and epic, grueling micro/macro victories (Dimaga v. JulyZerg). Really the whole gamut of victories, amazing storylines, and an 8-7 victory for the Koreans. And perhaps above all, no BM, clearly a lot of respect between both sides, and a sense of walking among equals. I hope this is just the beginning of a fruitful relationship between the foreign community and Korean SC2 scene!

He had to use 2 NPs with a handful of infested terrans to take it out. Banshees may have been a better choice, but at the same time they may have been more vulnerable to dying to infested terrans, and wouldn't take down the ultras as fast as yamato did (though banshees obviously have their own benefits). Also, if he overproduced banshees, he would have absolutely nothing for the inevitable mutas. Banshees can shoot air. So Dimaga could have build like 3 mutas to defend. In contrast 1 BC requires a unit commitment in order to take down.

I hope this is just the beginning of a fruitful relationship between the foreign community and Korean SC2 scene! I know I am new fan of Dimaga (haven't see him before--other than Blizzcon that Genius won), he played soo good, in those game he showed amassing early zerg micro (the hardest micro ever when there is banelings around) and amassing macro game against MvP with many 200-200 battles, and then a crazy all in baneling bust, in the game against NesTea, had nestea missed the timing by 20seconds(if the were cross positions this would have easily happened) dimaga would have had his 1/1 to nestea's 1/0. I still really want to see infestors in ZvZ pro level play so I can see how they do it so I can fix the way I am doing it, it is working great for my Diamond ass ^^.
