It turns the early game into a coinflip. People calling Morrow "hyper aggressive" or thinking he played well are wrong because anyone, even a silver league player, can pull it off. This just shows how this game is too much about chances and all in and not as skill centered as WC3 and SCBW. I'm very disappointed at SC2. Dude arn't u a "pro" gamer? first...when was wc3 EVER a "skill" based game? second...how come there are tons of fucking players who can hold off banebusts and if its such a free win why isn't zergs win rate like 90%....its one thing when a random scrub qq's in a live report but man....this is probly why you wont ever make it big in sc2 User was temp banned for this post.

woot am i reading?^^ i think that 15 cc massrax play might simply not be a solid build order. jinro couldve used a floating barracks or simply get an scv out to scout the banelings - as he did in game 2.

Jinro made a mistake by going for such greedy builds and was punished for it. But no the fanboys on here can't see that. Whine, whine, OP, cheese, whine, whine, do anything possible to downplay Morrow's achievement. It's a fucking disgrace. so much truth in this post

He's actually said in an interview recently he thinks marines are too strong. But I do think Jinro could have held it if he blindly made 3 bunkers and delayed his tech a little bit. I mean Morrow knows only way he can beat jinro is by that, and Jinro just made the mistake of not blindly making bunkers. Sucks really wanted jinro to win only terran i'll root for really now of days in watching tvz. Was hoping for some good macro games and only got 1 on xelnaga :/.

how can you complain about losing to banelings when all you do is mass barracks for the first 8 minutes?

( talking about 3rd game ) Husky especially pointed that out that he's been throwing in some drones while morphing banelings so if he fails he can still play instead of gg'ing out. At worst he was going to destroy building facilities which would slow any counter attack anyway. The drone count doesn't matter in that situation, if you open FE hellions and hold a ling baneling push zerg simply doesn't have enough tech to hold the counterattack.

Also consider that Morrow went hatch first. Zergs who credit Morrow with punishing Jinro's econ build have to understand Jinro did the same thing on Xel Naga. Game 2 went to the late game, Morrow was outplayed handily by Jinro, even after he got that huge break of catching all the siege tanks out of position. Jinro is a better macro player (not to take away from Morrow) and thus Morrow was strategically adept in punishing Jinro's econ builds before they could get him to where he is most effective. I am happy for Morrow, devastated for Jinro, and my liquibet is ruined. If you're tired of seeing people QQ indefinitely, bump this post! People in this thread, including me, complained about the abuse of the mkp-spot or however you want to call it. Not about usual bunkerrushes, they are standard in tvz. I really don't see how Morrow was outplayed in G2. He was far behind after the early game, tried an all-in which failed and was still in the game, that was kinda impressive....And after he traded armies with Jinro he was even further behind, you know, Jinro had the gold and Marines cost only Minerals. Just look at the Mutacount of Morrow to see how far he really was behind.

Completely agree. I really miss SC:BW sometimes. It didn't matter if something was OP or broken. You just worked around it, tried to beat it and got the fuck on with it.

After Fruitdealer and now Huk and Jinro were eliminated, perhaps the difference between foreign and Korean training isn't that big after all? I was especially surprised to see Fruitdealer being thoroughly outplayed by Thorzain in two straight-up games yesterday. Boxer looked shaky too.

Like MC FF'ing his way to victory That said, it seems like there is no viable way for Terran to CC first against Zerg, which would be fine, if Zerg was always forced to go speed first. But Zerg can still try hatch first, and with good control come out significantly ahead economically. This leads to a situation where Terran only has a few options really. Since they aren't going to get economic parity playing passively (CC first), they have to do it aggressively. So every Terran needs to get used to controlling a bunker rush, and every Zerg has to get used to holding it, because I just don't see any other viable direction for the matchup unless it's in 1-base all-ins, which I don't think anyone likes. I've never been one to complain about balance, but I certainly think it's possible that with the upcoming stim/bunker nerfs, we could see the matchup swing significantly in Zerg's favor, once they pick up on the fact that they can pretty easily punish the fast-expand Terran. The closest to "even" I see the matchup becoming in the near future, is when the Zerg goes for speed first, and the Terran gets a quick expansion off of 2 barracks and 1 gas, to set up for quicker siege tanks. Not the end of the world i guess, just curious.... Liquibet and the Bracket Contest are two different things. The Bracket Contest, which you filled out, is over on liquipedia, and you fill out the whole thing before the tournament starts. Its results for the first weekend will be tabluated at some point over the next couple days. Liquibet, which results I linked, is match-by-match. You can make your liquibets by going here: http://www.teamliquid.net/liquibet2/ , and it's also found by clicking the 2nd yellow number in the top left (Open liquibets: 0 / 0). The first number links to the Brood War liquibets. Hope this helps!
