lol i love how people are grouping HuK and Jinro with "koreans". they train in Korea but they're team Liquid. Fruitdealer just hasn't been playing well, so it's not surprising he lost.

Just watch how the other Koreans do in this tournament (MC and MVP). And MarineKingPrime, probably the 2nd best terran in Korea wasn't even invited. (neither was JulyZerg, probably the best zerg in Korea).

This is the deal people. Morrow knew how to counter jinro's build. When you scout something you know you can straight up kill why not do it?

I agree with how morrow played (to win). But games 1 and 3 were FE into 2(+) rax, not 2 rax into expand

MorroW scouts fast expand and deals with it appropriately, shouldn't he have? I don't see what the problem is.

This just shows how this game is too much about chances and all in and not as skill centered as WC3 and SCBW. I'm very disappointed at SC2.

It's not about whether they could execute it. It's about whether they could choose to do it. You're not including strategy in skill. Terrans in major tournaments often do FEs that don't have hellions or siege tanks and yet somehow they don't all lose. So either you're wrong and it isn't a clear win or isn't easy to execute, or the fact that it's so strong is something that most zergs haven't figured out. Either way, give Morrow some credit.

That said, it feels nice to have a zerg player's wins being discounted and blamed on imbalance for once, rather than always terrans (though I bet Morrow is feeling like he's cursed...).

He choose to do it out of nowhere with no real informations. If jinro opened FE into 2 fac hellions 3 rax stim (very, very common build) morrow would have been raped. You have to play blind and hope it works. This is SC2. I'm not sure how much of mindgame credit you can take out of this kind of simple all in build order decisions.

He scouted a very fast expansion on a map with a wide ramp. He had some clear information. Sure, it's not enough to be certain. You're playing the odds, but you're doing it intelligently. Maybe he watched other games of Jinro's and saw what he usually did.

And it's comparative. You have to look at what Jinro did too. I don't think he scanned to check for a baneling nest. He didn't put his factory and starport in the wall, which would have been enough for him to easily create a second layer when he needed it. Who knows who is actually better, but clearly Morrow played better in that match.

This is what happens when you give a strategic mastermind like Morrow preparation time. As long as Morrow knows what he is up against, I would dare say his one the best players there is at exploiting his opponents weaknesses and make the right adaptation.
At assembly you could see him dominate his way through the bracket until he hit the wall in the finals against Ret, because he simply hadn't seen Rets build and didn't know how to react properly against Rets fast exe roach opening. He also said so himself in interview postgame.

MorroW is probably the best player in Europe right now. He's not a crazy all-in player, he just reacted to Jinro's super-FE builds. Most CC/NExus first builds against Zerg get killed by Baneling busts, this isn't exactly news people.

I know it sucks Jinro's out, but lets all chill a bit here with the senseless MorroW hating.

Morrow clearly practiced a lot and studied Jinro's style. Jinro pretty much do the same thing in his matches against Idra recently. Not all players are like Idra who will just let you get away with CC first or any FE build. Idra should do this more too

If Jinro had just built a bunker or two while he was delaying he'd have been fine.

Did a well known and highly skilled player seriously just call that a coinflip situation? Drug tests for sc2 tourneys plz. Maybe people like to say coinflip to sound cool?

It was Jinro's fault he got busted and lost. His wall was 1 rax thick and he had a bunch of marines behind it. What the hell did he think was going to happen? No siege tanks. No bunkers. No marauders. No hellions. Nothing. Just marines. Duurrrrr~!

morrow did what he should have done. I don't really like watching this sort of play happen, but just knowing that jinro could have still made a fast expo and just have gone early tank w/siege or hellion would have made morrow lose horribly.

Don't harsh my mellow brah!

I'm a Jinro fan and a Terran player, but I'm not gonna fault Morrow for what he did. He did the perfect build to win the games. This is a tournament, not a show match, not a couple of games to give you and me entertainment. Morrow wants to win and thats just what he did. Same thing that MC did in GSL Finals. I will never fault a guy for wanting to win, even if it cheese
