He didn't lose just because he lost three units, he lost because he built a stargate, robo fact, robo bay and expo that wasn't mined from. He was aggressive, teching and expanding simultaneously on a small map. How is "Well obviously no small maps should be played" a sane response?

what an epic epic series, GSTL = BEST SEASON YET
|
This was worth the money just for the Korean BM which was at absurd levels and high comedy.
For those who know more than me, was this the most BM team match up in SC/BW/SC2 history and if not, what series was? I could list all the BM in this series, but it would take a really, really long time haha.

Just came around to watch the vods. What an epic end to the gstl. Couldn't have been better. Great pacing, great scores, great games and a dance-bm-off (he danced and got danced back and then it was ON).
Fun throughout. gg

How much cash was this worth?

omg that final was so fun to watch, srsly if anyone hasn't seen it you are missing out on the best SC2 I've ever seen.
I really like the team league format in general and I definitely hope they do more of it.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. I know the stats are readily available on TLPD, but here's a few charts I whipped up so you can save yourself some time! ![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/btJHQ.png) Enjoy. Thanks for this. The only thing I could have wanted more from team league as a whole would more zergs playing. That being said, the finals pretty much saw everything and everyone out there (cept Rainbow lol). Twas sweet. PvT is the only one with a half-reasonable sample size, and it looks grim for balance. With these new maps, which are quite different from the current maps, you can't say anything about balance until the game normalizes.
Furthermore, the nature of the tournament is that good players get to play more while bad players are weeded out. This is not the same as a randomly selected set of matches.

crap...anyway i can watch this on a mac/osx or install gom player in osx? not in a good place right now, no PC/Windows machine :S

winning team received a little less than $9000 US. 10 million won = $8920 US.

This should show that the GSL maps are leaps. and. bounds. better than ladder maps. That's true, but the result of the game had more to do with the poor decisions made. He went down two tech paths and tossed away his initial units. Sure, a larger map might have precluded the doomed headlong charge to the Zerg expansion and/or afforded him time to mass the units he wanted without paying for his mistake, but just building your map pool around games where it's hard to play poorly enough to lose seems odd.
Yeah, but on the flipside of that, there are situations like ZvZ on Steppes, where you make one micro mistake and insta-die. That doesn't really make for fun games to either spectate or play.
So while I do agree that bad play should not be rewarded, it gets really boring if we can't tolerate inevitable mistakes and victory in spite of it. Because if that's the case, I look forward to null set being the Code A champion.
Though I agree, that attack made me sad and he should have lost and the counterattack was the only viable response in that dire a situation. That said, perhaps so dire a situation would not have occurred were there larger maps. Long story short, Squirtle was boned.
... oh god. I'm sorry about that image, I... oh god, no... oh...

That's quite true, and I'm not arguing that point at all; I'm simply *that this was not one of those games.
