Game 4 looked like a patient reserved sage attempting to play chess with a 5 year old on a sugar binge fueled by cupcakes, pie, and crack cocaine. He throws himself into siege tank lines, missile turrets, and basically anything that fires pointy things out of a long stick repeatedly, and still comes out on top simply because he has absolutely no regard for protecting his own supply lines. But in all that MKP clearly has his strategy well thought out. It's a shocking strategy that is shockingly effective. I'm hoping MVP can figure out how to checkmate him. | ||

Everyone knows MKP base trades now. Notice what happened on Xel Naga. When Jinro attacked, he left behind: 3 tanks 4 bunkers ~10 marines To prevent MKP from base trading him head-on MKP's base-trading style forced Jinro to leave approximately 1200/400 in army at home to defend, weakening the strength of his push. MKP tested the front then flanked Jinro's main army, which was now weaker, and cleaned it up. It's really, really smart play, and everyone hating and calling it gimmicky clearly just doesn't understand it. | ||

As long as the map is right, if you go tanks, he'll just mass expand and go MMM. Try to attack and he counters you and has more bases and wins. Try to mass up and he just outexpands and outmacros you anyway. The solution? Go MMM yourself... One thing holding this game down is MMM being too strong relative to other unit compositions in every single matchup. | ||

You seem to be missing the point. His build was a perfect counter to Jinro's. The expansion was not "hidden FE", for gods sake, it's in one of the most visible spots on the map. He knew Jinro was playing standard, tanks/air, so he took control to hold his expansions by building up a heavy marine army. Tanks take time, while marines are easy to produce, so he was able to macro up a strong army for defense if necessary. Only way he would have lost was if Jinro did a 2base bio push instead of going those tanks, because nobody would ever push out with 1 tank and a couple of marines. | ||

I thought the last match was great and that both players deserve to go to the finals. And his macro is sick, I don`t know why people think he is cheese. What is scary is that he has weaknesses he can improve alot, like dealing with banshees. | ||
