I want to talk a little more about game 1 of Nada vs MKP. Apologies if this discussion is already going on somewhere else on the forums.
I think many people feel Nada threw away a big advantage, but I don't know how big it really was. The way I see it, this is what Nada needed to do:
1) Patrol and find MKP last remaining CC, move one of his buildings to keep tags on where it's going
This would have been enough to force a draw. However, going for a win was a lot more risky. He could have either:
2) Play aggresive: find and kill MKP's army, suicide his own army, build Viking (would have taken a long time and maybe declared a draw, still vulnerable against 4 below) 3) Play defensive: split his army to defend his starport and supply depot, suicide his army at supply depot and immediately start building Viking, while defending the starport and maintaining a big enough army to prevent MKP from landing his CC
Meanwhile, MKP had full vision so if he caught Nada's army off-guard he could:
4) Kill Nada's starport or supply depot.
It seems any way Nada tried to win he risked a loss. In fact, he botched almost all of the above and that's what happened: he let MKP CC land (1), didn't kill his army (2), didn't build a viking(3) and lost his supply depot and almost lost his starport (4).

Jinro also cursed during the interview.......... seriously, no broadcaster would have uploaded that sorry interview. It made for an interesting listen but between cursing and saying something that would discredit GOMs entire setup, it isnt realistic to expect GOM to do so.
They probably editted out the part were Tasteless called some random commercial guy a "douche bag" as well lol
I do hope they address the sound proofing problems in the future though. Saying that, I have heard from a Tournament organiser here on Team Liquid that no setup in progaming is perfectly sound proofed anyway.

EDIT: and it's interesting that you simply type "yellow vs boxer," not the specific bunker rush series, because Yellow vs Boxer was arguably one of the most famous rivalries that sustained and pushed broodwar forward as an esport in Korea, only that one series was shameful, everything else was full of excitement and anticipation.

You can only watch the first game of a series for free. The standard-quality live stream is free, but high quality and the rest of the VODs require a ticket. It's like 10 dollars, though, for the whole season, so it's pretty reasonable if you want to see them. Semifinals and finals are still to come, too, and they'll hopefully be worth watching, as well :-)

aside from who should have done what i think MKP vs Nada showed that TvT is for the most part the best and most enjoyable matchup - with both plenty of micro and macro options .. mobilty used to its full potentital and a case where a-moving is never the answer.
Some of the best games of the GSL so far the other maybe being Jinro vs. MC

No reason to be a doucebag about it.. Oneliner saying "Bye loser" is hardly contributing to the discussion... And that's the point of this forum, to contribute, not to flame or troll.. If you do that, you get banned - Quite simple

No you will get banned because you are implying mods are a bunch of immature 17 year olds.
You are just making their job harder, on a pretty hectic day, when they most likely want to celebrate Jinros victory, instead they have to babysit Idra fanatics
I respect Idra, but i dont like his fanboys, you are guys are dragging this entire site down every time he loses and come up with 20,000 reasons why the guy who beat your guy didnt deserve it

Thats the series I was referring to obviously, since it is the most relevant...
The point of mentioning it is that these all-in pushes done at the higher levels (aka top 8?) are actually kind of necessary. Its a mind game and you don't want the game to lose that. Yes we don't want a shit ton of it either, like we see in the ro32 and Code A. Today, out of 4+3 matches, we saw it twice. One of them was extremely exciting... So I'm not really sure what the problem with today was.

Its not hyberbole if Im not giving specifics
Just leaving a few blanks for people to interpret as they will, but still what was said was easily grounds for removal.

Jinro said that he heard the commentators shouting and sent out a scout to check what was up. But he also said that even though he sent out a scout, the scout didn't actually see anything of value.
Because of this he was still caught off-guard, and in a panic accidentally cancelled his marine. This ended up saving him the game, since the timing for the marine coming out was off and Idra was unable to catch it before it went into the bunker.

I actually think their TvT was pretty mediocre, even if the outcome on Plateau and Xel'Naga were very strange. I've found TvT to be the most enjoyable matchup since late in the beta when a lot of Terran switched to mass barracks play pumping mass marauders. The balance between marines, tanks, then adding on vikings or banshees, and still peppering in marauders when the time is right and keeping your forces mobile and engaging at small skirmishes make it entertaining.
There really hasn't been too much pure turtle out of terran with massive tanks(lol Goodey). I actually wouldn't mind a TvT final just because the matches are usually entertaining on the whole, and maps/balance cant be brought up.

So I'm not really sure what the problem with today was. I'd argue that the stale maps are creating a very tilted metagame in TvZ overall, it's not just isolated mindgames in the late tournament. TvZ close positions metalopolis this season is 11-4, with 1 of those 4 losses being nada to idra with his cutesy thor stuff and another being Jinro attempting to 2base vs nex.drug, despite 1base clearly being a fine choice. I'm not sure of the TvZ stats on Jungle Basin, but I'd expect them to be similar (I admittedly haven't been watching too many games but the only Z win I can remember off the top of my head is fruitdealer vs bitbybit where bitbybit pulled all his scvs in GSL3). Arguably, maps were the reason for idra's quick gg in game 2 and 6pool in game 4 (though the latter one is more idra's "fault," I found the former decision perfectly reasonable given the situation)
