Stop bitching guys... money is on the table so everyone plays for the win! If SSKS wants to play macro games he better find a way to stop MVP's one base attack or allin as you would call it!

Then you just die to the banshee he has with is army, sentries don't actually do damage they just ask the enemy units to die politely.

This helion drop did exactly what MVP wanted, make tester use his FF, then he will not have enough FF to counter the All-in after that.

You'd think Tester would know how to defend this build from MVP, it's not that uncommon really. Instead he looks like he has no idea. A few phoenix and extra immortals help alot against something like this to my experience. Now the pure unit compositions favor Terran so immensely.

Nice games though and P users better get ready to see alot more of this on ladder soon

lol... Tastosis are really overdoing it now. FF to block off blue hellions in your base is fucking standard.... o.O

Sure, it was well executed by Tester, but Artosis just called it the coolest thing in the world...

It was a combination of well placed force field, the decision to do that while being harassed in the front with his units, and doing so damn fast at the last possible moment.

Yes, but nevertheless it was a very well executed standard technique in a potentially dangerous situation. Tastosis totally failed to point that out instead just calling it "the coolest thing they've ever seen" as if they had just seen someone place 5 nukes all over the map at the same time or something.

Instead of totally exaggerating things they should rather explain why something was good or very difficult to execute in a certain situation, etc. Furthermore, when you call everything "the best" "the coolest" "the weirdest" "the sickest" you'll eventually run out of superlatives to describe REALLY impressive stuff.

Im just dissapointed. Comparing these Games today to European or American events, it seems the games played there are a lot more entertaining to watch.

Macro games are definitely good to watch. Most terran will just FE in respond to Protoss FE. However, if you just look at how ridiculously crushed ssks was by immvp, why did eu and na ppl not use it? why expand when u can kill ssks by such a big margin? ppl simply dont have the confident that their all in will work. Not all allin can be execute nicely. ppl play to win, not to entertain. mecro is not equal to better. macroing is as easy as ABC to the koreans, is standard procedures to the koreans pro-gamer, especially those who play BW

Compared to NesTea Choya games, MVP and Tester games are actually what are saving this GSL night for me.

They're exciting dynamic and full of tricks that each player is doing to make their win % go up. Amazing observer deflection with marine and raven positioning twice in game 1. Incredible forcefielding against blue flame hellions.

All-in play isn't as fun as a full scale macro war, but it's still a great timing attack execution.

Interesting to see that also on an off topic note that it's cold enough over in Korea that they need to use hand warmers before games, even though they've warmed up alot already. (They were both using them in the booths before game 3)

Do you think you're really entitled to anything in this world?

Debating the entertainment value of the all-in is fine but I think the comparisons to BBB need to stop. MVP's pushes hit with a respectable portion of the Terran tech tree and precise control, and so far have come in after some micro-heavy harassment. BBB a-moves marines and scvs.

True, he would've won either way. Nothing Protoss can do to stop that.

Well the protoss sort of reached a point-of-no-return being so greedy.

So many builds look unstopable only because of what the opponent is doing.

Taking your natural in a game that is ten minutes long is not 'so greedy' what the hell man.

All you terrans are so used to having cheap bio armies supported by mule and cost absolutely negligible gas, and so dont even understand why toss has to expand. Gateway vs bio leads to absolute carnage for the gateway once stim hits. It is essential to either have higher tech. However for toss to get higher tech army in reasonable numbers, it is essential to expand.

For the all the hype that MC generated last season, the only good terran he faced last season was Jinro, who played like crap during the semi finals compared to his usual standards. I doubt that MC would have even won the tourney if he had to meet someone like MVP, who has flawless execution in early stage.

Pretty much every single match tonight has been some form of all-in or cheese. I really hope something is done to fix this. This type of play is really detrimental to the longer term success of the game.

It's because they are the strongest strategies. I think the the more that people who watch the Pro's do these super crazy 1 base attacks, more and more they will realize that currently, that is how the game was made to be played.

I enjoy watching the games regardless.

There is no need to overcomplicate matters. A properly executed banshee/raven all-in simply kills a Protoss FE, because he hasn't had time to get out colossi yet. I have made my peace with it and stay on one base if I see the Terran going for it. Get out two colossi and laugh all the way to the bank.

When MVP use allin build, it's not your average bitbybit stupid allin, it's a fucking scary dangerous allin. Sick, I can't beleive he could roll over Tester 3-0.

It's pathetic either way.

You've got some lofty standards there. Why play catch-up and expand yourself when you've got sick execution, unit mix and control?

Not everyone likes 60 minute games.

And not everyone likes 10 minutes games. We're not asking for an hour long games just something that we can sink our teeth into. I mean that is what we're here for right? To spectate some awesome games?

Blame Tester for not holding off the most common 1 base push against Protoss. It was pretty much the exact same as the first game, minus the added hellions. Why should MVP change his style when it's obvious Tester doesn't have an answer for it?

If you can't hold the FE, then don't FE.

How would you hold that ?

To be honest, I don't think I could, because I'm shitty.
However I'd definitely go stargate tech before expanding, Plexa made a few posts about how early stargate play can nullify the Raven/Banshee presence.
