LOL, why would you disgrace MVP with a statement like that? :<

What disgrace....? MVP played just like the best macro zergs play... So many bases... Sending armies to do massive dmg without worry about losing them... It was epic...
People say that Zerg has to be 1-2 bases ahead of T... Now MVP was 2-3 bases ahead... The beast.

Comparing IdrA to MVP is like comparing a vuvuzela to an orchestra, one of them is monotone and predictable whilst the other is a compilation of proper instruments that gel.

GSL 3 ro32, MVP - IdrA: 2-1
IdrA eliminated by allin in 3rd game. Close positions on Meta, won second game on Steppes. First game was pretty close btw.

Drop your ignorance please.

Even an orchestra needs a guy with a stick who just hits a drum every other minute

MVP's playstyle in TvZ may seem predictable with the 2 rax openings, but actually they transition into a variety of different strats. IdrA on the other hand does indeed the exact same thing each and every game.

He actually doesn't, as for instance fast hellions require a different build by the Z to be dealt with effectively. Also whilet zergs may use the same units in the same order almost every game, the timings vary. Furthermore, zergs just can't afford to vary their build much, especially ZvT

It should matter imo since right now they're getting the same amount of prize money (and they shouldn't). Each match should matter in such a tournament.

In this Format every match matters.
You more money if you advance in a round. Otherwise all the "losers" from the 4 groups have to play against each other to see who is 9-16

And what is this "exact same thing every game"? The standard safest zerg opening?

People are just too blinded to realise that all Idra does is a safe opening then reacts to what his opponent is doing. Exactly how a good solid zerg should. Zerg isn't Terran, they don't have all these funky openings.

People just like to hate because they can. It's exactly as SirScoots said. Idra has this rep and no matter what he does this rep will determine how he is viewed.

also, voted yes on recommend choya vs. mvp, that breaking of the rocks + choya's army comp when he attacked were so full of fail it's quite instructional

Mules say gg Choya, now get the hell out of Code S.

uh... he's advancing..
I know, but I want him to leave.

Why you mad though?
I'm not particularly mad, I just feel like Choya is taking up room for better players like July for example in Code A, Choya belongs in Code A.

If choya belonged (is that a word?) in code a then he would be in code a.

he has proven that he can get to and stay in code s and therefore belongs in code s.

I win is a win no matter how it is won if you were playing for 50 grand then you would do whatever it took to win.

Well, I guess some other people think that just deciding who's first and second is enough...

Did they change the format of r16 groups, i remember that previoulsy it only went to 2:0 max, but the results list MVP as 3:0 ?

It would be just one match more. I just feel that it's not fair to some players that are good enough to advance but ended in a group of death to get the same prize as the other guy (who might be a scrub compared to him).
