relax people, seriously We are so hard on him for the same reason we were flamming BitByBit.Prime so hard, he takes out really good Protoss or Zerg players with coin-flip builds, such as 2 proxy barracks at nat on Jungle Basin v Genius. Im more pissed about him taking out nestea with 3 scvs/marine allins... MC vs Nstea would have be way more epic finals. way more epic? Doubt it. As much as I love MC, his PVZ is no way as good as his PVT. He got 2-0 by nestea last gsl....
His matches against July were amazing. Nestea is stronger than July atm, but I think he would have enough time to prepare and really show his PvZ can be that good also.

Rain totally EARNED that game if you outplay you opponent psychologically and then capitalize on that then all the power to you. SC2 shouldn't be pure mechanics it should have to do with strategies too, and guess what canceling tech is a strat.

And stop calling everything cheese when its just a brilliant tech choice to counter your opponents build I'm the 'idiot' who said he's a noob. And he is. 1. Excellent tech choice UM but he didn't know what MC had. So that was flip of the coin. If MC was on a robo build, it wouldn't have worked, and Rain didn't know either way. 2. Excellent usage of the banshees In that first main push with all his army units, the banshees were front and centre... ready for stalkers to take them down. The most expensive units, and Rain just let them die. (OH - and he A-moved that attack.. you could tell from the marauders and rines on the side attacking the geyser structure). 3. Excellent play by Rain. Rain almost lost a game he had to definetely win from the blind build orders of both players. He ALMOST lost. Rain is a noob.
So true, especially the fisrt push with banshees and the raven, man his pdd placement is just so dam bad, plus he didnt control his banshees, he just let them die to stalkers. Seriously -.- but its the finals though, the nerves might be getting to him so I do give him credit.

Shit, Rain has won a game, now everyone cries/imba/whine/QQ. Quick MC, wins the 3 next games by proxy 2 rax zealot rush so everyone can be happy . . ....

Yes you do. Rain did.
I forsee 4-1.

Rain is a noob.
at what point in that game was he in danger of losing, exactly?

Does anyone else read 'hwaiting" as 'waiting' with the weird accent? Like Bob Ross would say LIQUID HWHITE sometimes. Everytime I hear it I think of that accent thingy.

Rain is a noob. your forgetting the part where he tricked MC the thing is, Rain did it because he scouted MC's 4gate. It's not like he was going into his banshee play completely blind; he knew MC wouldn't have detection for a while. Rain took down some damn good players to get here, Hongun, Genius, etc., don't forget that. He didn't even play BW, he'll just get better from here. I like MC but Rain is impressing me as well. Doesn't deserve all the hate he gets for cheese; all-ins/early agression have a place in the game as well, no matter what Artosis/IdrA say.

rain did deserve that win yes, but admittedly his battle micro and army control is quite terrible. losing banshees to stalkers, a-moving mm force (some attacked the expo instead of mc's army), AND misplacing pdd...

Aww man did i miss the picking ceremony??

Does Live Report Thread translate to 'Incessant arguing' or something? ;(

relax people, seriously He cheesed his way to the finals, and it's showing that the guy is incapable of lasting without doing sneaky tactics. He did fine playing standard games vs Hongun Thats not exactly hard. With the exception of the Metal game HongUn has almost never displayed particularly amazing long-game ability. He's in the finals. He played some really hard players. He won. He didn't cheese an excessive amount imo. Really think people need to give the guy a break. Rain fighting.
Yup, my thoughts exactly. Give the man some credit. Rain Fighting!!! Gogo 4-2!

well played :D

I think rain could take the next one since it's on SoW, unless MC goes 1 base.
|
I'm cheering for MC, but I'm almost hoping Rain wins to shut all these hypocritical forum flamers up. Rain did a great strategic move to completely fool MC into thinking he was going 2 rax all in.
