And stop calling everything cheese when its just a brilliant tech choice to counter your opponents build I'm the 'idiot' who said he's a noob. And he is. 1. Excellent tech choice UM but he didn't know what MC had. So that was flip of the coin. If MC was on a robo build, it wouldn't have worked, and Rain didn't know either way. 2. Excellent usage of the banshees In that first main push with all his army units, the banshees were front and centre... ready for stalkers to take them down. The most expensive units, and Rain just let them die. (OH - and he A-moved that attack.. you could tell from the marauders and rines on the side attacking the geyser structure). 3. Excellent play by Rain. Rain almost lost a game he had to definetely win from the blind build orders of both players. He ALMOST lost. Rain is a noob. your forgetting the part where he tricked MC the thing is, Rain did it because he scouted MC's 4gate. It's not like he was going into his banshee play completely blind; he knew MC wouldn't have detection for a while. Rain took down some damn good players to get here, Hongun, Genius, etc., don't forget that. He didn't even play BW, he'll just get better from here. I like MC but Rain is impressing me as well. Doesn't deserve all the hate he gets for cheese; all-ins/early agression have a place in the game as well, no matter what Artosis/IdrA say.
...that wasn't a 4gate.

So true, especially the fisrt push with banshees and the raven, man his pdd placement is just so dam bad, plus he didnt control his banshees, he just let them die to stalkers. Seriously -.- but its the finals though, the nerves might be getting to him so I do give him credit. All those things are easily fixed by practice though. The builds/strategy/mindgames he's showing is really strong, if he improves his execution he'll really be a top notch player.

Joy. This debate again.
Here's a thought. Some people enjoy a game that doesn't rely on a trick. Some people think tricks and fakes are cool.
It's SC2. It's a god-damned game. Stop being assholes to each other and just watch the damn game.

I think it is quite emberassing that we have to discuss if Rain is a "noob" ... guys, it is just hilarious to say something like that about a player in the GSL finals... while I agree that MC has the higher skill though.

Can't we just respect the players?
I do agree that MC is the more skilled player, not to mention he's a sexy beast. But there's no reason to be calling Rain a skilless noobie, especially considering he's made it to the finals, past multiple BoX series.
If you keep knocking Rain for cheesy play, all you're doing in the end is saying every player he's beaten has been straight-out bad for losing to it.

yes, the Clide v LeenockfOu series was epic (watched it live when Artosis and Tasteless were losing their minds during th 45 min games) and yes Clide played so very well late game it was sick. However sSKS is top 3 P and Fruitdealer top 2 Zerg + GSL S1 champion so....
Clide has gotta start doing something else besides lose in Ro64 or Ro32 as while I'm impressed with his play tournament finishes are the most important factor to how good you are.

Rain is a noob? Rain took a game off MC. What does that make Jinro?
So much hate.

The point is that MC had no robo/detection.

How is cloaked banshee a brilliant tech choice?
Rain did not even scout MC. he just assumed him to take the bait (2nd rax) and just blindly went banshee. just shows how unsolid rains gameplan is. And even then MC was able to carry on after loosing 500 gas of sentrys. he really should consider this match a moral win

ROFL
Everything MC does is gosu. Everything Rain does is coinflip and luck..

This is the worst live report thread ever, stop the MC vs Rain fanbattles.

Right, it was a 3-gate, and also as response to a 2 rax. (at least he thought)

Just gonna explain something. Rain knew that MC thought he was going 2 barracks opening, that is why he cancelled, ok?
He predicted that MC wasnt gonna be ready for cloaked banshees. Normally people call that good game sense, but for some reason it's often called "luck" when a terran does it. Just saying.
MC is better, but Rain deserved that game

Its really really baffling how people can actually like this music. Its borderline formless. The form that is there is entry level compositional technique, and there is barely any clever rhyme or modulation. Its like a massive drone of amateur harmony and melody with predictable cliche changes and high/low points. Stuff like this really proves that if you just make something sound artificially busy that people will be into it. Just like how burger king commercials never let the camera stay still etc.
