People are upset because those were perhaps the 3 most boring games to watch, and that syle is boring to watch, regardless of how well executed. Speak for yourself..I thought those games were awesome. Great back and forth play..and I play Zerg.. I think so too. Positioning and timing is what it's about when players are of an equally high level. Unit composition most of the time picks itself. These guys didn't program the game Blizzard did.

I dont know how people found that the last 3 games are boring... I was quite exciting watching battles going on back and forth all the time. How is 3 gates 1 robo stalkers and collossus timing push is more exciting?

^ beat me to it
I don't get why people think MMM is boring. Those games were back and forth constantly, Select showed great micro and was attacking on multiple fronts at once in a couple of the games. I wonder why we didn't see this much whining in TvP in Broodwar where every Terran went Tank Vulture.

Exactly. Nothing wrong about Select, of course you do what works. Let blizzard etc worry about that it is boring to watch. Cause it is.
Ye, not blaming the players here. With money on the line I expect the players to do whatever the hell wins the games. I just fear for the future of this matchup as it's becoming horribly predictable/stale and I don't see a way out of it. Any sort of mech play is just unworkable vs toss and even just mixing in a few tanks is usually an inferior choice to getting just more MMM

I also imagine a lot of people bashing select will cheer for idra(Who pretty much does the same build every game).
Select plays strong without gimmicks, and won. Nony tried gimmicky strats and lost. I don't see why Select is being bashed here. Blows my mind.
What different "build" would you like to see from a non-cheesy zerg, if i may ask ?
9 spire ? 14 ultra cavern ? 3x pool push ?
He is doing the only 3-4 builds that work and exist.

Yes, his control is phenomenal. Yes, he does it perfectly, but MMM isn't new nor is it creative. Well I can only speak as a terran player, but I love watching Select play. I suppose it might take a terran to recognize that even if I can 1a a bio ball and come with 70% of the effectiveness of his push that way, his micro to get it up to 100% is very impressive and fun to watch.

My biggest problem with Terran at this point is from a spectator's point of view. Good Terran execution isn't as exciting or fun to watch as Zerg or Protoss.

Oh please, as if gateway units require "teching".
Does everything really have to be colored by these childish anti-terran attitudes?

Select played amazing for a guy who was down a game and had his back to the wall, mad props to him.

if it's not broke don't fix it.. if MMM is working why change..
I actually didn't find those games boring... but I am a big Tyler fan, so I was pretty in to it... it's more entertaining when your rooting for someone.. also that meta game was pretty entertaining... Not the best games of the tournament or anything... but it did go to game 7, that's got to count for something.
Also I wouldn't call Select's control perfect.. but man.. he baited tyler's units over and over to overextend into select's resupply lines... Not perfect by any means, but better than most Terran's I see play.

I loved these last games. It was really close, it wasnt just 1 big battle and that was it, it was decided by many battles. People say it's boring to watch, which it really isnt imo.
Pure roach is boring though

is it me or does the loser's bracket seem to indictate that kiwikaki and select not playing each other?

Tho this is based of Play of Sen i saw a couple months ago. Not sure if Idra has pasted Sen..probably not.
Sen's style is very different than Idra's so it's hard to compare the two. Sen is more harass oriented while Idra is more defensive and macro oriented

Will the MLG stream run on my PS3?

The phoenixes were fine anyways, he should have expanded to the back natural instead of the wide open front one so that he could hold a ramp and use phoenixes to pick off drops.

my problem with MMM is that u can wager everything that your opponent is going to do it, base your build entirely around that, and still not have any sort of advantage
