Cool has made it clear he thinks PvZ is much more imbalanced than TvZ.

So has pretty much every single top zerg.

Personally I don't think T really needs a nerf, P does and Z just needs a buff. Well, T might need some nerfs so early game versus toss is more varied then 1 base all in bio for twenty minutes pinning down the toss from getting temps, but then temps themselves would need a slighty change, or t would need to be able to deal with storm slightly better.

So um...

T-Nerf early game bio, primarily intended so 1 base allin v toss is less gay.
P-Nerf 2gate (for PvZ) and t3 (primarily for TvP)
Z-Buff a little bit.

I love IdrA but...

Have we ever seen any results from him lately? I mean, king of the beta is cool and all, but still...

And don't blame zerg's balance on everything. IdrA could've done so much more in his game today, but he was overconfident and just did stupid stuff.

And don't say hidden bases are cheesy and that it was unfair, it's part of the game. Scout the dang base with one (1) zergling and kill it off.

EDIT: I'm saying this out of love for IdrA, I want him to do better in tournaments

Better to lose then lose your dignity...

LOL , yea ... because ever person thinks about dignity when such amounts of money are on the line ...

PS . where was Idras dignity when he look up builds ?

what does dignity have to do with either?

Sad to see imbalance debates in every thread... Why not keep it in one place?

- blaming imbalance about idra's loss : i won't even talk about that, I just feel sorry for people doing it.

- blaming imbalance for first maka win : same thing. People are sayigng "he lost his gold and made mistakes but only one mistake from the zerg and it's gg §§§"
Not, he didn't lost his gold. The z put his gold in red health then leaved. Too bad, those imba terrans can repear their buildings So 1mn after this expansion was "destroyed", it was up and running again. That was a critical mistake.
On mitsakes, what were exactly the majors terran's mistakes ? Losing some minor battles and taking a lot of z units in the process ? Perhaps going from 20+ to 4 mutas while not looking was a much bigger mistake ? Ho noes that was imbalance, right. Then losing all those roaches killing 2 marines was imbalance too. There is imbalance in sc2, but this TvZ is not displaying any.

- blaming imbalance on game 2 now. There obviously is, as blizzard will nerf reapers. But the Z made 5 roachs then stoped. Perhaps he was too busy making his expansion over and over again with absolutly no chance of securing it. Yeah, he could have made a second queen to spread creep toward his nat so he can at least fight on creep. But no, reapers are so imba than they'll make people becoming stupid. Perhaps he could have made more than 5 roaches whole game and wait for more creep and roach speed to expand. But no, it's so imbalanced that people lose their common sense. Better losing right now so I can expand right now, right.

100000000 million dollars if you played Zerg at a high level, your post would be completely opposite. You really have no idea how narrow minded and ignorant your post is.
Yeah, I'm so ignorant thinking a player with 1600 income will beat a player with 800 income when the game goes long.
Perhaps I made some naive comments, as you're right, I play zerg but not at "a high level".
But at my level, i know if I earn double than my opponent, chances are I will win, even as a poor underpowered zerg whose life is so hard.

Btw, as zerg, I strongly agree with Half's post (first page 97' post)

Cool has made it clear he thinks PvZ is much more imbalanced than TvZ.

thats because his P practice partner is tester

I hope idra loses to ZvZ next time so that people realize its not the imba that makes him lose. rooting for a player is cool and all but come on zergs... quit crying. there was no imba issue with Idra's ro32 set.

edit: or that cool wins this gsl so all of you shut up for once. wait, kotb didn't help in that sense either huh.

I'm very disappointed in Idra's play last night. For such a high caliber player, the two losses were very preventable.

In set 2, an overlord had free reign in the base at one point spotting nothing but a sentry or two, zealot and stalker. He had to have known there was a hidden tech or something else making. You don't ever assume your opponent is a noob and is just behind. He didn't change his tech, didn't look to defend, and didn't all in at the choke to attempt to base race.

In set 3, he saw the double robo colossus with void rays. He could have easily let his army die while doing max damage then pump mass muta. P was hanging on by a thread with very few stalkers. The GG was very premature imo. He still had working bases and lots of drones. This is not even considering the lack of spotting the expo and letting his own expo get cleaned of workers.

I'm rooting for all the foreigners to do well, and it is the very first GSL, but after all the talk, i would hope for a better showing than that. All hopes for TLO making it as far as he can!

Idra and team EG keep fighting!

The funny/sad thing was that I lost a game last night at gold level by not scouting a terran properly. Missed a hidden base and he ended up getting enough battlecruisers to own me, while I had committed to an all ground path (ultras). I totally wiped out everything he had on the ground, but liftoff meant I couldn't get his buildings.

The lesson I learned from this game is that scouting is everything. You need to constantly scout. Now I see that IdrA of all people had the exact same problem. I feel better about my game now haha.

As a Terran player I am all in favor of axing the reaper totally. Poorly designed unit that is 100% used for cheese in the first 7 minutes of the game and then never ever built again. No other unit in the game is like that. Plus it forces T/Z to always make a certain opening build just by the possibility of reapers limiting starting build options a ton.

With that being said, looking at this thread and others I wonder: What will it take for "us" to say "Hey that Terran player really deserved to win". Still yet to see the community NOT whine like crazy whenever a Zerg loses to Terran, no matter how the match played out. If the Zerg wins, he wins because he is lucky and/or God, if Terran wins it is because he plays Terran.

Pretty sure everyone liked Tankboys game 1 for example and said so. Also it's kinda hard not to root for the obvious underdog ?

Are you serious? Its actually better that they are not giving away the BO, that are sometimes hard to produce to just anyone. Its pretty bad that you as a player come up with a nice BO, and have it stealed it just few hours ago. It just gonna make cool strategies less apealing due to the fact that spending so much time into making them, just for them to be a 1 trick pony...

/facepalm

The games are public. Its not like the casters are going out of their way to hide what the players are doing. Not releasing the replays is obnoxious. Its why I'm using GOMBro instead of a season pass.

I suppose if you aren't capable of analyzing a game any better than the commentators it won't bother you. (That isn't a diss to the commentators, they're doing this live so you have to adjust your expectations.)

If you don't understand why the absence of high level (and hi definition!!!) youtube videos hurts the community and the competitive scene, nothing I say is going to help you.

That said, at this point I don't think its a huge deal, because these games are far below what we've seen in IEM (where replays are released same-day). Maybe this is because we're dealing with 64/32 players instead of 16/8, but the quality of these games has been really low. Today's Idra games were just terrible.

No they were actually very entertaining and pretty high level.

What are you babbling about there not being HD replays?Sure they're up with a bit of delay but who cares.

Why should zerg have a t1 unit to counter a TIER 2 toss/terran unit??

Cause the other 2 races have for starters , terran wont get destroyed from 2 vray ruch and toss from 2 banshees

also if u ever bothered to play zerg you should have known that 1 zerg wall in game isnt an option.

you need 2 bases vs toss or terran to be effective thus u need to fast exband.

also if u try as zerg to tech to hydra then expand lack of wallin means u die to a reaper harass , or a simple mm push or 2 gate rush or anything similar but apparently you have no idea .
