Metalopolis? Yeah, I saw it. As usual, low opportunity cost Terran cheese, which is in the hands of anyone worth their salt is going to do enough damage to justify itself - and it did (it's almost a no brainer it's so efficient). So no, I'm not impressed. Reapers are loleasymode for Terran early game vZ.

Yeah but as an announcer you should say something like
"Congratulations to Lucifer for winning this round, however it is unfortune that even with this win he will not be able to advance"

Lets just ignore where the units come in the tech tree and make a stupid comparison, sure why not?
That's pretty much the point.

really a pity no toss in ro8. but we shouldnt overemphasize this result, imho the quality of the P playerpool in this tournament was way worse than that of T or Z.

Exactly. Huk and Whiterah was the ones that you could expect have a good chance and Whiterah was quite doubtful considering how he has played lately. I'm not surprised at all that there are no protoss in the quarters.

His was more direct and to the point. It has nothing to do with drama and rage for me.

His point was to compare how difficult it is to be creative with Protoss to Terran by comparing two completely disparate unit compositions to each other? Thor/Battlecruiser/Ghost, gee this is fun!

yeah... the Protoss tech tree is harder to use for "creative" stuff than terran's. Terran has like the most straight-forward easiest tech-tree ever. It's just 1 tree of rax-fact-starport, with 4 branches 1 building long (engineering bay, armory, ghost academy, fusion core) there's no real commitment to a tech tree as a terran.
Zerg's tech tree is also like that but they only have like 3 different units...

as a spectator sure, but as a participant standing there, those are really harsh words.

I wouldn't care considering his poor English. I just find it weird that people get hung up on that quote as I find it one of the more harmless of his. He didn't mean loser in a derogatory way.

No. You don't understand.
It's more that different Terran units complimen one another much more than Protoss units do, especially of different tech paths. You can't effectively play off of a Stargate with a Robotics Facility. However as Terran you can get any cluster of Starport, Factory and Barracks units and it can work. This is the problem with "being creative": Terran units compliment one another more than Toss units do.

so what system did they use to determine the brackets? because Idra (D1) plays vs sarens (C1) and demuslim (D2) vs dimaga (C2) which seems weird to me

sarens came second in group C.

Except TLO plays Zerg too, and his Zerg play is considered incredibly creative, so I don't think you have at point here.
