I'm a protoss player - I don't understand the whole just make mass lings so they can't expand ever thing. Is this a blind choice from the zerg or what? usually i lose then to mass muta, but i lose my expo right away to a bunch of speedlings....i just don't get it....

Maybe post a replay? Forcefields, wall-offs, you shouldn't be losing your main/nat. In regards to denying a third, I mean it's 400 minerals. If the zerg loses 16 zerglings and then you just remake it, you come out ahead because they didn't make drones.

Have to post a replay or two, you shouldn't be dying to mass lings.

That usually only works if Protoss overinvests into defending their 3rd. You can cancel, gather enough crackdepts and then take it. If Zerg lings an early 3rd they're sacrificing their own 3rd saturation so if you can cancel you're not in a bad spot. Unit retention is the name of the game versus lings, they trade well verus small groups of gateway units but against a ball of adepts they'll have to start spending gas to fight it off. At that point you can establish your base, push out and scout through agression.

Edit: just re-read, you're talking about your natural? I don't know how you lose your natural to speedlings unless they're doing some 1 base speedling rush. Normal speedling timings shoudl give you plenty of time to make a wall, adepts and a mothership core.

If you open up stargate, you wont' lose to Muta's. I think it's a mistake when a Protoss player doesn't open up stargate.

You have to realize, if it's really early speedlings and you are trying to take an early third and you have to cancel, that isn't drones. So don't feel like you are super behind because you probably aren't. If the zerg makes a ton of early lings and doesn't cancel the third, they are going to be behind economically.

This happens to me when i am NOT opening Stargate, and my natural is hardly up (meaning barely saturated).
I scout the zerg right away, and they do take their natural. So at some point they decide to make a ton of speedlings and flood my natural. Is this a choice on certain maps maybe? or do they just see that I don't have a complete wall at my natural?

A zerg can take a the natural and use it as a macro hatch. In zvz I'm going for 3 hatcharies (3 bases), but the base on the third is used as a macro hatch early on, as well as a place where I can transfer drones later (can always be droned if there is a solid defense vs the ling bane push).

Scouting the zerg means you must scout the mineral lines. You can shade an adept or two to the mineral line and see if the zerg mines from the base or uses it as a macro hatch (you can always cancel the shade). Checking out for what coming out of the eggs also helps, drones - he is going for eco, units - he may prepare an early push.

In ZvZ I'm poking with early lings so that I can see whether there are drones on the natural, or is it purely lings.
I guess terran do it with the reaper.

Master Zerg here. I have a problem on the map Apotheosis.
If i don´t take the gold as first expansion and my enemie did, i am loosing all my games because hes ahead in the ling war.
If i take my gold first its a gamble because i auto-loose vs 13/13 or something similar.
Is there a solution to one of the situations? I am always insecure in what to do. I never 13/13 and always try to open safe, but if i take the natural base, i am behind income wise and its a bit annoying to play this map.
Any advice?

Send a 14 drone scout and take your nat at 17, if he take hes gold you take the gold as third before pool. Transfer drones from nat to gold when done. As any three hatch pool take bane nest before speed and send both queens to third. You should be ahead.

If he didnt take the gold just proceed as normal.

How do you deal with roach/hydra/lurker in ZvZ? It seems a roach timing should do a lot of damage but if they hold, it's hard to really progress in the game. Any sort of abuse of mobility doesn't do too well when lurkers just do so amazing in base trade scenarios. Mutas?

It seems like maps like galactic process that lurkers are just unbeatable.

I usually play a lurker midgame and I found that some players can easily beat it with mass roach ravager with quick upgrades and great biles.

My micro isnt good enough but with good biles and splits roach ravager just wrecks lurker.

Can you Post a replay with you build, because if you are rushing out Lurkers on 2 bases you would have to commit for an All-in attack, but it really depends on you build. usally lurkers are like Tank, they suck if beeing kited on they way, but are exteamly good once in position. But for specific answers we need a Replay(it doenst matter how bad you played just for us to get an idea of the build and specific situations you struggle)

Is there a guide to the most standard ZvP right now? I'm at a total loss in the matchup. I don't know what the standard composition is or what to be expecting from Protoss or how to react to different openers like stargate openers/double stargate or how to adjust against things like disruptors etc.
