Scout it early then either allin as hard as possible or ecocheese as hard as possible then repeatedly remax against it. We don't have a decent answer to protoss air atm and if one comes up its probably gunna involve rivers of spore crawlers as per usual.
Don't rely much on hydras. Easy to fall into the trap of thinking simply enough hydras will beat the units. Hydras are only good against a high voidray count; phoenixs murder them, carriers murder them, zealots murder them, storm, archons, colossi, disruptors, adepts, etc, etc. Any decent protoss is going to have some answer to mass hydras.
Best just to get 3.5 base sat and max as quick as possible and hope to cripple them before they get too much stuff. I hope the style doesn't become more popular, skytoss has always been one of those "Wait, isn't this game meant to be fun?" parts about SC2.

Anyone know how to beat the mech play ? (At diamand master)
Hellion/cyclon for harass. PF liberator at home.
Hellion/cyclon are just so mobile and force you to defend home while he takes PF/turtle.
Tried lings/roach/hydra infestor. You survive on creep but he just back and you can't catch him.

What I do is :
I crush his first pressure with zerglings, queens and spines if needed then go for roaches ravagers and lings for the follow ups. If you can deny most of the eco damage, it's ok to trade a little poorly. if you can get onto 4-5 bases worth of gas before the Terran can max out, ultra ling bane ravager will crush any amount of units he has.
Otherwise just play roach ravager infestor into broodlords and vipers. then you just slow push and nydus the terran to death. 3-3 cracklings will just destroy any Terran production in seconds

Better Players are able to stop that composition. Don't take this personally, but the level of players in sc2 is at its lowest You can 17hatch against anyone in any map and people will always assume you wanna go macro. Then you hit them with 7roachs at 3.30min and they lose the game here. To be precise, i hadn't played or followed sc2 for 4years and I am now crushing masters after 30games.

I don't want to discredit you, but do you have any reps ? Because it's kinda hard to see you crushing them when they're sending a reaper to scout and then they can react accordingly. Currently, a lot of terrans like to go double medivacs drop. @3:30 they already have at least (and I emphasize "at least") 4 marines with 2 rax with techlab and reactor. I can't imagine them not making some bunkers and cancel the reactor'ed factory for tech lab and then making tanks.
Not to mention 3:30 is relatively early to make a single ravager. Where do you gather so many gas to make 7 roaches and ravagers ? Especially if you're taking speedlings (or maybe you aren't ? But then your base is incredibly easy to scout).

Do not follow Sc2 for 4 years; Play a single game; Win (?) Mix in some imaginary things; Brag on TL about crushing masters left and right; ???? Profit

I chase the reaper with a couple of lings + queens. The original push doesn't have any ravagers, at this point you just want to destroy/delay his b2 or outright destroy him if hes a zerg or a terran. Meanwhile you drone up, take a b3, take 4gas. You keep up the pressure and get roach speed. Then you kill them with roach/ravagers; Worth noting that my scouting drone will take the terrans/protoss gas everytime. Also I don't make speedlings, but I do make a spinecrawler at my b2. That makes any opponent truly believe that you're going for the long game. If there is any equivalent to dotabuff i will gladly provide my profile. People also forget that you can block your main ramp with a queen + 2lings. I also make my crawler right next to it. It makes scouting difficult

For people that struggle vs turtle carrier rushers, go for ling drop harass if you see forge first/defensive play to get an eco lead - as for the comp, I've had great success with Queen Hydra Nydus pushes (frontal attack on 3rd or natural is fine, don't need to risk in their mineral line but if you can exploit an army out of position sure). Just be ready to spam transfuse and have 8~ queens in front, keep remaking queens, rally to nydus constant hydra production. Skip the spire until you absolutely can't break him for some reason and then corrupter viper is your only option. Example ZvP Replay

What's the point of dropping lings into those?

so, what comes after Lurkers in ZvZ? I'm getting decent at getting to them, but I can never finish the game since ling/bane/muta/lurker can't really attack outside of counter-attacks. so what am I supposed to do then? broodlords and vipers?
|
I've never really seen much lurker play in ZvZ. I feel like any time I play someone who gets them then I just end up steam rolling them. Ravagers make pretty short work of them especially with micro. Roach/ravager with upgrades just beats everything in a fight.
The way I see ZvZ is get a third around 30-40 with lots of ling/bane play and then roach/ravager/upgrades and if it comes to it, just mass ultras with upgrades. Broodlords are not good in ZvZ, if they actually make enough that will stop ultras from just steamrolling everything which maybe is only possible on like that map with a tucked natural/third, then you just use vipers to abduct them into queens, or hydras. Ultra/Queen is the end game goal in ZvZ.
If I see someone going mutas then I just make lots of queens and spores and get a faster fourth. From there I either get fast hive, vipers to bomb them, and ultras vs mass muta, or just pump roaches if they are only making a few mutas. Either way lurkers don't do well.

How do you deal with 12 pools? It's hard to tell if it's going to be a baneling/speedling or just quick expo. I've tried going 17g/17h/17p but I die all the same to it.

does anyone here know how the pros do so many ravager biles instantly? i do a lot of clicking and they shoot them out much too slow that way, seems they have some trick that i do not know of. Any help much appreciated

Pros, and not only pros, many players as well, use rapid fire. I have the 'C' key bind for both the corrosive bile as well as for the choose ability. So I put the cursor on the place I want to bile on and hold 'C' for about a second (not clicking my mouse). It makes all the ravagers selected bile the spot my cursor on.
I use the rapid fire for other things as well.

Recently converted to zerg, placed in platinum (was plat protoss). Definitely way too high for my liking since I'm still getting used to injects and creep spread.
I have several questions: 1. How do you fight sky terran? Converting to zerg makes me realize how fucking shitty corruptors are. Do you try to turtle up with infestors and fungal or do you shoot for hive tech and vipers? 2. What is a good composition to fight mass cyclones late game? I was actually really surprised by a group of ~10 cyclones running at me and kiting all my ultralisks till kingdom come.

in wol when your units spawned they had automatically an attack-move order, is there a way to do it in lotv?
|
No, they changed it so that it only has move command. You can make them attack thought if you right click on an ennemy unit. But they'll focus solely on that unit and not the others, which can make an awkward situation.

I'm looking for an up-to-date guide against mech. I used the search-function but was not really satisfied with the results. Maybe I used the wrong keywords.

ling roach lurkers ultra broodlords the game is easy if you put pressure on him with early roaches
