EDIT: This guide is written for lower level players, if you are higher level I'd recommend just focusing on the BO's and the replays and avoid the pictures etc, they will not help you much.
Hello TeamLiquid,
This is a post for you protoss players out there who are looking to improve your game!
There are 15 guides in this PDF, 4 PvP Builds, 6 PvT Builds, and 5 PvZ Builds.
All of these builds are from my friend Believe who is consistently a top 50/16 grandmasters protoss.
Click Here To Download the PDF! (17.2MB)
Also, we've included replays that correspond to each guide in case you are confused on some things, some are vs some AI's but most are versus high master and grandmaster opponents.
Download the Replays Here (0.76MB)
All credit to the builds go to Believe, I just did the editing and the pictures and tried to make everything as clean and organized as possible, I hope you guys like it!
Shoot a tweet at John if you like his builds @LaGTTBelieve
Thanks, hope you guys enjoy it.

Nice but Believes been proven to hack and streamcheat, everyone hates him, so him trying to do this is nice but.... he's not going to get respect for it, he's too desperate aswell

I know he has a bad rep but I don't think he hacks, do you have proof you could link me about it? Kinda a big accusation to make x.x

Oh look, all-ins. That never happens.
|
I'm a zerg player playing protoss from time to time for fun and this is awesome. I don't really care about the reputation of this Believe or why he did it, the truth is that it'll be really helpful so thanks a lot ToXSiK and Believe !

I don't like the guides. Very little info that you could get from watching replays anyway. You should at least explain how to behave according to what your opponents are doing (well I know they are mostly all ins but still). Many sentences are repeated within the same guide. Also the pictures of the 1st pylon and gateway weren't really needed lol. Well, thanks for the replays.
|
Thanks for clarifying they are mostly All Ins, I was going to waste time downloading that -_-U
|
I like the effort. But you shouldn't call it "The Ultimate Book for Protoss" when it's 90% all-ins.
+ Show Spoiler +Zippyshare seemed shady for the weirdest reason. The real download button looks like one of those fake download button ads. This is not the way the world should work, lol.

The only player to ever beat me when i do the Oracle all-in is Apocalypse lol.
On a serious note, this is a good project but i'd like to see a little more effort from [G] threads. If i was to do this as a TL strat project (and i've considered doing something similar for a while), i'd do the following: a) write this in the form of one (or several, perhaps one per matchup?) forum posts instead of a pdf b) analyze the builds better, adding strenghts/weaknesses of each, good/bad maps, execution tips (say, how to deny scouting and secure pylon spots) c) add pro vods d) re format to be a little more readable.
A good example of a nice build collection is, of course, the pvz guide

That said, yeah, it can definitely be better.

Let's see...i wrote about a third of the PvZ guide (maybe a bit more), including the vast majority of the builds section, the wol and hots 2base templar guides, the mantrain guide, the 2/2/2 article, as well as most protoss build/game analysis articles. All in all i think that covers about 15/20 ish builds.
My standards are definitely high, but again, that's what i'd like to have in every thread in the recommended section. This guide as is is fine, but i don't feel like classifying it as a "must read", which is a pity because having a nice compilation of cheesier builds to look at for every matchup can be a great resource, and this compilation would be a nice place to start.

Meh So many half assed Guides out there... You should be thanking him for his high standards, it actually makes the strategy section an ok place again.
On topic: Always nice to have new builds up ones sleeve. But yeah, this is more advertising than a guide -_-

I dont see why the community is so against all ins. They are fun to do and when done right extremely powerful. Not every game has to be 20 min macro you know.
Good job ToXSiK and Believe ! Kudos

Really cool stuff! I was planning on releasing something very similar to this myself. Send me a message so we can put them together as a complete project. I think that's best.

Because most players look for improve his gameplay based on a standard game, not just All In, and even if you are looking for All In you can learn few of them. Making a guide with almost 15 All In is kinda ridiculous IMO, or at least should change the title explaining it's an All In Compilation, so people don't get disappointed after thinking there are useful macro builds.

Terran has one build which works in three matchups: 2rax On topic: thanks for sharing i'm studying Protoss

meh this is just quite mediocre (after looking at it more I realize it's just trash). Collection of all-ins is nice but the writeup is really quite poor, basically it's just a collection of build orders by food with some useless pictures showing 13 gate, 15 double gas etc. Also some of the all-ins are just quite lousy or practically counted double. Blink stalker vs P or vs T is pretty much exactly the same, dt and charge all-in are pretty much the same etc. Oracle all-in is quite odd, 1 oracle into voids is stronger and more common perhaps go into small deviations (why would you go with oracles instead of voids after the first if you want to all-in though) chargelot archon all-in with 2-2 makes little sense,if you all-in forgo upgrades in favor of units mostly.. Upgrades are only really effective if aiming for the longer game or they are crucial for some timing. PvT Templar opener doesn't fit in this game. PvZ MC 7 gate is missing most stuff PvZ immortal all-in guide and pictures don't mash at all. Guide speaks of some low gas zealot heavy variation with just 2-3 sentries (this is crap) while the pictures pretty much refer to immortal all-in like the soultrain. 6 gate all-in is referring to bunkers and seems like a PvT build but then shows pictures of PvZ..
tl;dr. Lousy formatting (can;t even click to get to a chapter), redundant pictures, no extra information besides summier build orders, lots of crappy stuff or stuff out of place and stuff just missing... There are few good builds in there but it's 10x better to follow Teoita's advice and make a one or a few guides in the form of post and focus on some builds, getting rid off the chaff.

Look to improve your game? I dont think all-ining is the best way to improve your game.
