There's various ways to go DT expand, depending on how safe you want to play. If you are super paranoid you can just go robo before nexus and you shouldn't take any meaningful damage. If you go robo after nexus you will take some damage vs dt's but still be in good shape, especially if your own dt's pay off. Finally, you can decide to play risky and just skip detection, accepting you will lose to dt's (but opening things like a stronger 2base gateway timing).
ModeratorProtoss all-ins are like a wok. You can throw whatever you want in there and it will turn out alright.

Block your ramp with 2 zealots on hold position. Scout with Hallu Phoenix. Use Forcefields. Scout with probe and try to find out what he is doing.

You can't react in time. By the time your phoenix is across the map he's really close to warping in dt's. You can go for detection as an emergency measure, but if you rely on hallu scouts you will always take some form of damage (even just being forced into not mining from your nat for a long time).

I'm a gold/plat zerg that wants to play toss for a change after a few hundreds games as a zerg. Thing is, i've never really bothered with the concept of BOs (besides pool/hatch/first gas timing) as i've always played a pretty passive/macro style into end game.

As a toss i'd like to mix in macro games aswell as much more aggressive plays/all in, and I have no clue where to find good BOs. I googled and could only find very old stuff, or incomplete stuff (such as gosubuilds for exemple) Could you guys suggest me like 2-3 BOs for each match ups, including macro/greedy opening, 1 base cheeses, 2 bases all in etc ?

Would really appreciate !

Once you hit a high colossus count (4+) the locusts will just melt. Squirtle vs Leenock on Icarus is an excellent game to learn from, even though both players in fact were planning for a 2base all-in. Against 3base swarm host, you should add a second robo as a high colossus count is very important.

I have a problem myself in PvZ. It seems like I always get caught off guard. I know I need to scout more with hallu phoenix, observers and real Phoneix etc, but when can I expect/know for sure when the Zerg is going for one kind of unitcompisition?

3-Base and meleeupgrades, then I know it's probably going to be Ultras.
Gas before pool is probably Speedling expand, banelingbust, roach allin, right?

But when can I expect Mutas? Roach/Hydra 2-base all-ins? Swarmhosts? What timings (minutemarks) and upgrades to look for, if my scouting is lacking for some reason? What minutes can I expect what?

1,2,3,4,5,6 gases, what unitcompisitions needs what x of geysers?

Alot of questions but I have a really hard problem reading my information I know.

expand at 6:30-6:50, warp-prism + probe, hide worker at another base, or my favorite: proxy nexus and build a probe from that, then msc recall when you have 4 colo.

Star Station is indeed an incredibly hard map to hold a third on. In general, i'd try one of the following:
1) Do a pressure build like 4gate zealot +1. If you are ahead from a timing, you are going to have an easier timing.
2) Mass void ray turtle. Check out rsvp's replay pack. With mass void ray you care less about forcefielding and positioning than with a ground army, so it can be a bit easier to hold with good positioning and enough cannons.
2) Don't bother with a third and just learn a solid 2base allin.

@ poster above me: if you mean macro pvt, standard timings are always around the 7 minute mark.
ModeratorProtoss all-ins are like a wok. You can throw whatever you want in there and it will turn out alright.

P.S. Sorry for my bad english)))))

I try it on Zerus on PVT.I make 1 gate into double nexus(one proxy on cross resp). And make second proxy later.Probe recall very nice in big map.My recomendation. In Zeruses PVP is reall hard to find it.I saw Proleague the specials match SoS-Carno.And SoS make proxy third nexus into mass tampest(in neo planets(small map) but he doesnt use probe recall(
I think its some futer of Hots.Big maps and some proxy nexuses.

Having serious issues with zergs making both a spire and a infestation pit at the same time after establishing a third. They make one big round of mutas then go into swarm host/hydra or make swarm host/queen and then switch into mass muta. It feels impossible. I saw it quite a few times on Korea ladder and now I am on NA too. Either you go 2 stargate and have the ability hold the potential mutas and then die to swarm hosts because you won't have colossus in time or you try and defend with one stargate and then usually get rolled by mutas or take enough damage that the swarmhosts work anyway. It feels so frustrating to play against. There is no way to get enough gas to defend outside of taking a super fast (like White-Ra fast. 6:30) third and immediately mining gas. Has anyone got a solid solution to something like this?

I swear I am going to just start doing 2 base all-ins again against Zerg. The matchup isn't even fun to play anymore. Just frustrating. I love the other matchups but if I didn't have to play PvZ I wouldn't. Or I should just go back to playing on KR because the Zergs I played were way more fun and didn't just do stupid mass ling stuff or super greedy early muta builds half the games like so many of my PvZs on NA. I think the thing that is frustrating me the most is that every PvZ I have had the last few days has been different so it has been very hard to practice the matchup properly.

Is stargate into templar viable in HOTS in PVZ or do you have to go robo before templar? I noticed in the protoss versus zerg guide that it said stargate > templar was not viable.

Also, could you go 4 Gate +1 into 5 Phoenix Harass/ 3rd nexus? Or should I just choose between stargate harass and 4 gate + 1 before taking a third?

Lastly, is it conceivable that phoenix into zealot/archon could deal with hydra swarmhost? seems like you could go envision with an oracle and lift the swarm hosts right before you move in with zealot/archon. (as an alternative to colossus)

PvP: Are carriers a better late-game composition (transitioning from mass phoenix) than VR + few tempests for sky toss vs. sky toss?

Also, is it possible to stop two-base stalker ht all-ins with VR zealot while saturating your third base or do you need to cut workers to get out more army?

Gold Protoss here,
Is it too safe if I open 3gate/Robo into Expand every match up, how behind would I be against my opponent's FE build ?
The point is I always get 1 base all in in my level, I want to play standard Macro game, but I almost always die before 10 mins mark

Are there any other safe build that won't put me too behind economically ?
Thanks
There is nothing either right or wrong but thinking makes it so
