Please dont get this wrong - I never want to start a balance thread, and there is no HOTS general discussion thread, and I only simply want to know one thing and one thing only.
Yes, HOTS hasnt come out yet, but apparently with all these fellow terrans tears, in HOTs mech will be more viable to use. Does this mean bio will simply die? All I am looking here is an opinion, please do not misunderstand. I just hope that HOTS will make mech viable but does not mean will kill bio right? I just absolutely love the playstyle of bio, micro macro intensive, drop here everywhere, split vs fungal and storm, etc.
That is all, Thank you everyone.
It's simply very hard to tell at the moment. HOTS isn't even in beta stage, so there is no way we can tell.

That is all, Thank you everyone. In BW its mech in tvp and tvt, so dont get to sad, in TVT marauders will always be good against mech I think that the new gas cloud will be tough for Terran to deal with in TvZ So I dont think bio will be very good unless but who knows? If you micro well enough you can make magic. TVP mech will be weak as hell against air so I dont think pure mech will be good for early game since warhounds dont shoot air? and they changed thor back to wol thor for mech anti air. We will just have to wait and see man game isnt even out yet and this game sure changed alot even after release!

Blizzard tries to make mech a possible option, additional to bio. There should be no incisions (no huge at least) in bio play for us, only the option to play mech if we want, or the toss forces us.

Look at the state of the buildings today:
Barracks can produce 4 different units. Factory can produce 3 different units. Starport can produce 5 different units (6 if you count ground vik )
HOTS is only here to bring us more TECH possibilities. No change on rax play really needed at this point, but we did need more options for mech, hence Battle Hellion, Mine (hurray, a second unit Reactorable on Facs!) and Warhound. I would except LOTV to bring more rax and / or port play.

Thank you everyone. Yes, I hope they are just making mech more viable, not actually trying to KILL bio..... I may stop playing if that happens lol.
Btw about Viper's blinding cloud, Ghosts counter it right? So yeah..
I just truly hope bio will not die even with the viability of mech in HOTS. I just hope that Terrans can now play mech OR bio, not ONLY mech.

Hi guys, I'm a BW player trying to get into SC2 again after a big break from the game. I play random and my Terran builds feels kinda outdated, especially my TvZ one (reactor hellion opening). My TvT build is still doing fine and I just found a TvP build that I'm still trying out but I can't find anything on TvZ. Everything feels either too(is it "to" or "too" ? ) passive or too greedy for my taste.
I like both mech and bio even though I prefer bio play. I want something that allows me to be able to put pressure on the zerg in the midgame or something. Is there anything like that or is it gimmicky? Right now I'm trying to get fast 2-2 bio upgrades and then start the aggression but that feels so passive

As for bio play: I suggest doing marineking's build. You start with a CC first, then you go into hellion with a rine rauder comp and push at around 9min. If you micro really good (mkp level, but thats what tvz has become, be marineking or be dead) you come out ahead. The CC first makes it so you can keep up with the zerg even though you're gettin very aggressive early on. You then transition into rine rauder tank medivac. http://www.gomtv.net/videos/index.gom?search=1&order=1&page=1&subtype=-1&limit=10&words=marineking code s There you can find some of his games displaying that build.
As for mech play: Just read this: http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?topic_id=297764

Does anyone know what the win rates are for July?

I cannot beat a roach push anytime from the 8-12 min mark. I try to harass but I am not very good at it and it is hard to take down a zerg I feel with harrass at my level of skill. Any help? What units should I build? When should I expect an early roach push? How should I counter it? Any help helps really. Side note- silver level but been playing gold consistently in my matches. Thanks in advance

Hello all, I feel like I'm doing something wrong wirh the 10 timing at TvP..... I always get to the protoss base at 11 or so mins and by that they usualy have a collosus... so if anyone can link or type the BO of the build with notes ill give him a big wet kiss and grateful! It will be great if you can link up the TvT build of rax exanpd into two rax followed by +1 stim and medivacs timing
Cheers!

Need help for my TvP army keys.
Is it a good idea to tab through your main army (mine is at #1) so i can stim and then tab so i can select my ghosts? Or is it better to hotkey my tabs like this:
1= bulk army 2= marine marauder 3= ghosts 4= vikings

If you can handle it, it's typically better to have a hotkey setup where you can control ghosts and vikings individually, and also give orders to your bio units without interrupting ghost EMP commands or viking commands. The hotkey setup you've got listed there should work great.

Ok guys, I'm sick of being caught with my pants down against Zergs 'pressure' AKA pre-patch all-in.
So I always go for the Hellion/Banshee opening but I feel that I just don't get enough Marines out(2-3 in a bunker) to deal with it.
What variants of that opening make me less susceptible to losing all my natural's SCVs?

You could always delay your hellions/banshees slightly and get siege, but I'm not sure if that's what you really want to do. I do that for a mech opening but depending what you transition into it might not be good for you. Getting 2 siege tanks with siege basically stops every zerg all in minus like 2 base mutas or something.

Hey guys, I had a really simple and not really important question, more of a detail in fact.
What is the real diffetence between OC at 16 and oc at 17. Is there one better than the other ? Or is it just the same thing ?
