u need to use ur scouting probe to see if he sets an expansion or if hes not having all that many drones, if ur unsure of what hes doing, set another cannon and get some sentrys out asap. also, u dont need to worry about ur sentry count. if u want hallu, just get it right after ur wg tech. but ofc theres no need for it if ur going for a robo build.

yeah u just push out as many sentries and stalkers as u can. u should try to split his roaches in the middle of the ramp so u only have to face 2-3 roaches at a time

u can do 2 gates, but it can get hard if he commits to the attack, what i tend to do is just to create a full wall off with a forge and set a pylon. u have to quit probing for a while just in order to get the forge and cannon down asap. every sec counts when its a 6 pool.

How do you guys deal with broodlord/infestor/corruptor lategame? Usually this composition is accompanied by roach/ling on the ground which makes it hard to just simply blink up to the broodlords. Infestors are amazing vs voidrays (clumping or not) and corruptors finish the job on the voids + deal with collosus. High templar storms are great vs the lings, but useless vs roaches. Should I just be maxing out on Immortal/HT/Voidray and spread out my army?

usually you don't want the zerg getting that far... i don't think i've beaten a good player who was able to get to that composition.

you need high templar to feedback + storm, archons, stalkers, void rays, colossi.... it's difficult.

Doesn't seem to make very much sense...zerg with the unbreakable 200/200 army. That can remax very very very quickly...

+ What is the BO for Huk's current 1gate FE (not the one in the thread by a similar name by alej). The one where he gets a second gas and 2 sentries?

+ If I FFE vZ into Stargate, is it possible to rush storm and only eventually get a robo for obs, or is there some timing which slaughters this? I'd like to FFE into a void or two then transition to some phoenix for air control, then use that air control to make storm drops a safe midgame tactic but I'm worried that there's a timing when I'd be vulnerable to a huge roach hydra-y bust.

If Z researches burrow, he'll have map control until you get out your first Observer. That's less a timing in the sense of "OMG he's gonna come kill me," but if he scouts that you have no detection, there's nothing stopping him from getting Tunneling Claws and then mass expanding.

The only build that you can really do in all three MUs is the 4-gate. It's not that good against Zerg any more, and I never liked it much PvT, but it's at least a little bit viable.

I'd say go back and watch your replays to see if you are consistantly warping in units everytime your cooldown is up. Also if he's doing a 1 base 3 rax make sure you are chrono-boosting your immortals out. With 4-5 sentries you should feel comfortable with spamming force fields to cut his army up. Perhaps invest the gas into immortals>sentries, it's hard to say without a replay but you need to make sure you arent sacrificing immortal production for sentries. Of course you need a few sentries, but do not overkill production.

If you are safe and you can get your natural up before him, understand that you are ahead and he will have to come to you. If you feel safe then start getting collossus up.

Until you get a handle on when and how it's safe to early expand, i'd say go for 3 gate starts. Twilight versus terrans, robo versus other protoss, stargate > robo versus zergs.

You deal with this the same way zerg muta/ling deals with thors, in that you make phoenix, and magic box them into their broodlord cloud. Fungal growth only hits a couple of them. Because of the phoenix moving shot mechanic, they are perfect for magic boxing. When the infestors lay down infested terran, you just run away.

I have a few questions about a couple timings / situations.

1) PvT - Dealing with a PF in a key location on the map. Maps like Xelnaga or Shattered temple where the Terran can take a gold and control the middle easily almost always tilt me into thinking I am / will be falling behind quick. I know denying this expansion is key, but hard to do if they do a tank siege / unsiege slow crawl forward and take over the center. Against the mech play, his army is not very mobile so stalker blink play into his base or warp prism a possible solution? What if he is bio and gets one of these positions?

2) PvZ - I read a lot in this thread about doing 2 base timings before infestor / muta become a serious threat. I know the general timing of these builds but would like to know exactly when to "go" and hit the correct timings. Can any of the knowledgeable players confirm the attack timings for a couple of the builds below? I know that most are meant to hit before or around 10 minutes.

How do these build times change with 3 gate fast expand vs. FFE?

- 6gate +1/1 (do you get a robo for obs if you scout roach?)
- 7 gate blink +2 attack
- 2 collosis push
- chargelot / archon +2 attack

If you scout a 3rd before or while you are attacking should this be the primary target ?

I am high diamond if that helps in anyway.
