i was watching some pro's and some streamers. and i notice them when they set up there hotkeys at start of game. one of them is blank?
is this something you do in your bio set up?
or actuall in-game?
normal creation of a hotkey is shift + 1 or 2 etc
but how do you make it blank?

the first one is always blank until you set up it. known since WoL release.
And you can change at ingame option how you want.

ahh ok. so soon as i start the game. before i even do my first worker i set my hotkey?
and it will be blank?

I don't understand why you want a blank hotkey to begin with..? It literally does nothing for you. I have also never seen it. Could be a bug with the units that used to be on that hotbar dying (or morphing to a building), or something else.

I suck really bad. I play terran. I mean, i can beat people who is worse than me, but then, when i have to face better players i simple lose. Today for example i won only 2 games and that was because they were so much worse than me.
I dont really know how to attack or how to defend. If I try to destroy their expansion, i lose and then they mass ravens, banshees, etc. So I don't know what to do.
I usually go with
10 rax
11 ref
14 orbital command
once i get +100 gas i build fac
What do i do?
Usually i lose against other terran players

Have you tried out The staircase method of improvement? It is a fun way of getting the basics of sc2 down. It enables you to learn how to play with out stressing out about using pro build orders or anything.

Check out the terran help me thread, specifically here is a more optimized build for your TvT
Post a replay in the terran help me thread and you will get more help

Are all spawns possible on all the new 1v1 maps? Or are there forced cross on some of them? Do tell!

All the spawns are possible except for Foxtrot which has vertical disabled.

Yes,1 is always blank as I said before you set up it.
If you set up 1 and 9, 2-8 are blank.

Yes but for a very limited amount of time. It turns from 'almost working' to dead very quickly.

When one has a larger group of mutas selected, can the controlling player use hold position to fire a spread like in brood war?

What are some standard timings in zvz? I'm a former master but I haven't really looked up how to play timingplay in zvz. I usually open with four queens, speed to scout and harras and then a wall into roaches. But when should I stop making drones and make roaches? The scout is hard to get and to decide how much units he has and I often loose because he has a lot more units than I have. Any good timings? Also for taking a third base which I find kinda hard.

What maps do you guys suggest me in order to improve my game? I'm trying with Spliting marines and multitask 1.45 or so, What else can you suggest me?
