I mean obviously im good at sc2, masters, but im afraid brutal will just be like retarded where you win by mostly abusing the game or being forced to do boring things like make only marines. I just want to enjoy the campaign.

Or Kerrigan and mass ling. Kerrigan's abilities are ridiculously strong, and the unit evolution paths are ridiculous as well. I cruised through brutal with maybe two minor exceptions, and I'm not good at all (I haven't played in over a year and was only platinum when I did...). I'm sure a masters player could steamroll every brutal mission with whatever unit composition they wanted. The only reason I can see playing on hard is if you want to go for all the mastery achievements on a single playthrough; there might not be enough time to do some of them on brutal.

I just want to enjoy the campaign. I got through brutal pretty quickly, without looking up help and I'm a part time gold leaguer. There's no abusing bad ai or anything and whilst the obvious roach/hydra/kerrigan is the best composition for essentially anything it's more than viable to mess around with muta, mass ultra, lings etc. I even did a mission using nothing but swarm hosts and kerrigan. That all said, if you really just wanna do whatever you want, hard wil give you that too - but brutal isn't rediculously challenging.

The mutalisk has three numbers for each because each attack hits up to three times. The numbers in brackets are the increase per upgrade taken for it.

I redid almost all missions, have all the levels on those, and the progress bar in the achivement is stuck at 0/70, even though I managed to unlock the level 60 achievement. It doesn't make any sense :D Is there a way around this bug to still unlock the portrait/achievement?

I am currently 15 missions in and I am almost embarrassed to say that I didn't notice the evolve mission button for the first 10 missions -.- I was already cruising through brutal and that only made it easier /facepalm I have completed all objectives and everything on my first try... I really hope that they up the difficulty for LoV by like A LOT... I do have a couple missions left so maybe just maybe some of them are a little harder!

My macro is far from perfect, but I find my micro causes more losses than my macro. I have trouble keeping track of my units, marching them around as an unorganized (and ineffective clump) rather than separating them accordingly to better pressure my opponent. Any suggestions or tips are really appreciated. it depends on your hotkey set up, but for me I do 1, 2, 3 as army, 4 as Orbitals, 5 as rax, 6 as factory or starport depending on which is used more often. If I go mech I would have factory on 5 and starport on 6, with bio it's rax on 5 and starport on 6 and maybe factory on 9 or 0 because I have 9 and 0 bound to mouse buttons for easy access, I also bind 9 and 0 to engi bays or armories to always keep track of upgrades. So for army set up, I try to do whole army on group 1, all siege tanks on 2 and spell casters on 3. The tanks on their own group allows me to leap frog tanks easier, because I can unsiege some tanks, and move command them while my sieged ones remain and I always have the hotkey to fall back to for easy access. Spell casters always need their own control group. If you are doing medivac harass I definitely recommend hotkeying each medivac you are harassing with to a key. Maybe if this is a key part of your play, you will bind 1 medivac to group 2 and another medivac to group 3 and all army on group 1 for ease. As far as macro, constantly look at your resources versus your supply. Are your minerals too high? It's time to buy a command center or more rax. Is your gas too high? invest into upgrades or ravens or ghosts as they are high in gas and it's good to balance out your resources because then you will find your macro much more efficient. I main zerg but I have hotkey setups for all races and I recommend either using one of the hotkey guides on TL or customizing your own. For instance, I don't have to reach my left hand further than the T, G, and B keys on my keyboard, everything is within that range and I mean EVERYTHING. I felt a major improvement in my APM after mastering my customized layout. And on another note regarding HotS campaign. I hope to god they release some add-ons for campaign so I can play with my swarm on extra crazy difficult missions. I felt there was too much emphasis on kerrigan and not much on actual base building. I was also disappointed they didn't have a secondary queen to inject larva. How could they leave out inject larva? It's the most crucial part of zerg in multiplayer and they don't think that noobs might want to be aware of this ability and how important it is for zerg? Anyways, I would love to see some add-on missions where it's 2v1 terran+toss team up against you and they have boss mothership and boss battlecruiser and other missions where they stretch your swarm to the limit without kerrigan would be very cool.
