Doesnt have to be terran, can be gateways etc. Why not build it when you have 150? Why wait until 300? I actually don't see pro terrans/protoss wait to build the second. However, the second will start ever so slightly faster from the saved mining time. Plus the convenience of having them synced. Mostly just preference. No, what I mean is this. I want to build 2 barracks. I would normally build 1 as soon as I have 150. Then anotehr one when I have 150. But pros seem to wait until 300 to build both. Is it for the slight mining time? If I build as soon as I have 150, that particular SCV could instead be mining right?
I believe its just so their build is more fluent. It'd not about the 50 mins now, think about the 50 mins to start marine and 100 Fo depot to start depot that much sooner.
Toss does this sometimes with gas, just so it works out better. If you can get something faster, the question should be do I want to/need to.

Question 1: Is there such thing as a custom map that is a faster game speed than the actual game? I think it'd be interesting to try to perform macro builds at literally 2x the speed, or 4x or w.e. Is this possible? Easy?
Question 2: Is there a visual difference to a medivac, overlord, or warp prism, when it's loaded vs unloaded? Like there is for a bunker. Should there be?(i say yes)
I've been looking for the same thing. Keep an eye on my thread where I just asked this question.

As a new players what would be a good Terran opening build to practice mechanics untill im like Platinum or Diamond and can start exploring the game more in-depth ?

You can 1 rax expand in every matchup.

I was thinking more about something similar to the 4 gate equivalent , but i guess i'll try that :p

Hi Jpx, I don't know how new you mean, but someone called FilterSC on YouTube (I'm not affiliated) but out a really cool Terran Bronze to Masters set of video's using very basic builds. They're worth a look in my opinion, and they do show a build evolving through the different leagues.

I don't say that in a disparaging way, by the way. I actually think new players should start with cheese to learn basic unit control and how to execute a very short BO crisply before transitioning into more complex play that looks for advantages in the mid or lategame.

I would like to know this, but for protoss, maybe 4 gate? Though I hear that now its easily defended. I could be wrong though, if not other choices against all matchups would be good.

I have been in your shoes too! So from personal experience, I recommend to play no-stress custom macro games on BNET! Play on Daybreak LE which is a very popular custom map, and practice FFE/4gate/ anything! That is where I go to build my mechanical skill, and get a sense of the game again.

Is there any good protoss macro trainers?

Diamond people still lose to it (not all, some). I usually go for the 4 gate if someone gas steals me and they're surprisingly bad at defending it.

4 gate is still viable in pvp and pvt.

Hi guys
I have never asked for replays before, but let this be my first and only one.
I am searching of TvT replays where one player goes sky terran, but not later in the game. For example, I have seen boxer vs rain in MLG where both transitioned to sky...its popular, you can see on youtube lol.
So yeah, maybe the one where the player transitions to sky around early/mid game is fine.
Thank you, hope I can find some

dapollo terran tutorial. I'm at work so can't link straight to the videos, but thats the google search for them.
The Zerg one's got me from Gold to Plat in about a week. It goes through some basic builds for each matchup concentrating mainly on macro and going against better players as the videos go though.

Im a gold protoss but having kinda hard time to improve. What would be some good benchmarks to aim for (probes / overall supply)?

Keep to the basics. Mostly macro and simply having more stuff than your opponent is the most important part for you to work on.
Constantly building workers, not getting supply blocked, and keeping your money low.
